If Giuliani can get through primaries, he stacks up well For a guy commonly regarded as a hero after 9/11, Mayor Giuliani is too quickly dismissed by presidential handicappers. Here's why he deserves a second look.

LG, I guess I don't get it. If abortion isn't murder and deprives nobody of their rights, what is there to hate about it? Why do the abortion haters who don't want to outlaw abortions find it morally wrong?

It's the ending of potential life. A lot more things can be wrong than just 'murder', you just need to refrain from thinking in black-and-white terms - if you can.

So, tell us, why didn't he vote? Is it because he's a phony pro-lifer like Romney?

What would be morally wrong about abortion if it isn't killing? I don't doubt you believe that, I'm just wondering on what basis you judge the removal of tissue from a body to be immoral? Would you think removing a tumor would be immoral, or a mole?
I do understand that we don't outlaw things simply because some people find them immoral. But I abortion isn't simply a matter of choice, because it does involve another living being.

But a tumor or a mole wouldn't be a potential life, which is what a fetus is.
I understand why you favor outlawing abortion, I'm just trying to explain why people like Rudy would support legal abortion, even while hating the practice.

Actually, I support Rudy. But I don't like unfair attacks against any candidate.

I can destroy your argument with one name from Illinois:
"George Ryan"
A Rino is seldom the answer to the problem.
I can destroy your argument with another name from California: "Arnold"

That's too easy.
If those were my choices I'd vote 3rd Party.

I will agree that Rudy is the most palatable Republican with crossover appeal. That doesn't necessarily sell me on him but if crossover appeal is what you want, Rudy makes more sense than McCain or Romney.

The polls seem to reflect that he is palatable to many, and crossover's would keep a Dem out of the White House. He also seems to appeal to Independents. McCain is the hardest sell to me, for obvious reasons. There is something about Romney that I find repelling, I think he's a little too polished and he reminds me of Kerry.
Whoever wins the nomination will get my vote, I just hope it's not one of those two.

Should President Hunter (that sounds good)insist that it was necessary for National Security, it would happen.
Would I be devestated if he was wrong and it really took 7-12 months? Not really.

You know Joe Leiberman cannot win since he ran on the third party ticket. Shame on Joe for winning on a third party ticket.
