Brian Williams' trip is likely ratings based. ABC has been beating 'em.

I noticed that today was the first time that Murtha didn't brag about spending so much time at Walter Reed with the injured troops...
maybe because he might have been asked why HE didn't notice any problems there..and isn't it Congress' job to do oversight??

Is there a streaming vid of the MTP show so I can watch Lindsey be repectable for a change?

CNN is going to go LIVE to the two "black churches" that Obama and Clinton are going to be speaking in today. Don't be surprised if Carl Cameron beats them all begging for mercy with Obama Hussain.

As head of the Veterans Affairs Committe, why did Diane Fienstein not notice anything substandard before now? SHE has some splining to do IMO, but WHO will ask her?

Brian Williams' trip is likely ratings based. ABC has been beating 'em.I'll bet you are right about that. I'll bet he didn't want to do it.

I am not so sure after something I witnessed last night with a slide show that was presented by a Combat Veteran of several Military Wars or Offenses dating back to Grenada, and through Desert Storm, and right up to Present. He showcased RR,GHWB,GWB, and then Mccain when he was talking about the future for Strong Military leadership in the President. I almost bit my tongue in half not shouting out the truth about Mccain. It would not have been proper and it would have been dishonoring the others that were present.

It is a concerted effort of omission by MSM. The same thing happened last night on all local channels (ABC - Disney, NBC - GE, CBS - Time, I think). They reported on the labor, Dem, Union Bill passed by the house, on how it helps labor. None of the local channels reported that secret balloting would not be allowed. It was a concerted effort of omission by three channels owned by three different mega corporations. We know all this, it but it is frightening.

Wolf just said that Lieberman suggested today that they RAISE TAXES to pay for fixing the system and the hospitals at Walter Reed..
Dodd said we should bring the troops home from Iraq..and use THAT money to fix Walter Reed.
Kyl said that the Dems keep cutting funding for Defense...and NO WAY do we need to raise taxes to pay for it.
Wolf asked Kyl about Sec. Nicholson...and Kyl didn't exactly give him a vote of confidence.

Well, the comments on FR this morning got me to watch MTP for a change. The first portion, at least. Lindsey Graham did a good job versus Russert. I know Russert was sitting there and listened to what Graham said but I'm not convinced he heard what Graham was telling him. At least Graham repeated the mantra of what happens if we leave over and over as well as stressing the "long term" effects of leaving now. Good for him.
To: Mo1
Graham was more prepared today. Russert seemed off balance
and not really on the same level as Graham. Russert looked very tired as if he is fighting the flu. Graham has an excellent understanding of the war in Iraq and the consequences of leaving too early.
To: Morgan in Denver
Let's hope that Russert doesn't "forget" what Lindsey said today.

Thanks, I watch Wallace's Fox show at 6 pm so MTP at 10 pm is doable.
