Brian Williams is in Iraq. Apparently NBC wants to appear credible when they tell us how it's just not working there. The media, and therefore the American sheeple, really began to go negative on the war after ABC's Bob Woodruff, co-anchor of their Nightly News, went to Iraq and nearly died. The ride along embeds stopped and the media hunkered down in the Green Zone, using spoon fed anti-American stories from "stringers" with questionable background.
Woodruff's injury also was the reason that they eventually replaced Woodruff and his temp subs with Charlie Gibson, who is now on top in the ratings.
And Brian's ratings are down, so...........
Nooooo... I'm not cynical....
Actually, the question isn't "am I cynical?" The question is "am I cynical enough?"

"they are going to redirect them
Anybody know what he means by that?"
Redirect, reposition, redeploy....didn't you know?
They all mean exactly the same thing.
.
.
.....Exactly what Rangell wants it to mean, no more and no less.
(With all due apologies to Lewis Carrol for swiping the Queen's line from "Through the Looking Glass" and probably misspelling his last name in the bargain.)
Words usually have a meaning, but this is a quote going to a "friendly" news media, so all bets are off. You'd have better luck nailing jello to the wall than getting a precise definition of anything that comes out of the mouth of an average politician/oblique stoke/lawyer, and this, after all, is coming from one of the masters of the art of soundbite BS.
........BTW, my translation of that statement is: If people like Rangell could find a way to tax only those who did not vote for their relection, it would be the Mother of All Redirection.

Brian Williams puts me to sleep, and is getting more left wing leaning all the time. He reminds me of a hound dog trying to do the news because he looks like one. When he talks all I see and hear is that baying sound, and ears flopping down. LOL!

What a great picture that makes! Thanks for the input.

I think you have hit the nail on the head why I have seen many posts from so called conservatives anti any form of climate change or energy conservation because they see it as buying into all the hype and government control.
Unfortunately the only way some see it is to go the other way which IMHO makes them look just as foolish and there are many posts on FR that support my argument. Maybe the posters do not even realise what they are saying and as you probably know them better than I do you can discern what they are getting at better but from a first impression and without any background knowledge of either the exact situation or the poster's previous history that is how it reads to me. I fully realise of course that in the cold light of day they probably do not mean what they are actually inferring in their posting.

Every now and then Lindseed has to show up as a conservative Republican so people won't confuse him with a spineless twit. I have no respect for him(almost as much as Murtha, Reed, pabo's dog palosi and of course frown man russert.
I just hope Rudy doesn't peak too soon and McCain come out on top.

Why even bother watching television news shows? I have not seen one all the way through to the end for over five years. I caught five minutes of Fox News a few months ago. It was a total waste of time. Why corrode your brain with MSM crapola? I do not even watch commercial television anymore. Local stations here have turned to infomercials for revenue. They are all the same: "Get rich quick with real estate, flip this house, get rich trading on line with this program and you need to know is 'follow the red arrows and green arrows." I watch lots of DVDs but they are starting to appear the same because they mostly follow a plotting formula. Far better to read good books and listen to fine music.

When I was on holiday in 1997 I visited Boston Common after a marijuana festival had taken place, the common was a mess debris everywhere and some very spaced out squirrels as well which the previous day I had seen eating some "cake".
Again proving that as I suspect the majority of these participants were lefties that the so called ecofriendly warriors leave our world in a mess and do not clean up after themselves.

Does not fit their agenda and also IMHO the Prez has not beaten the drum over it for fear of some of the ultra right wing Republicans/Conservatives going ape over it either. ????????
Who could object to an energy efficient home? If I had the resources I'd be doing all sorts of energy efficient experiments.
I think the only reason the President doesn't brag about it, is that he's just not inclined to brag.

That is a great account of one of the most memorable events in Conservative "HistWah", as Rush would say. I wish one day he would do it again, call it Ft Collins Colorado revisited. This time, the kids that came with their Parents should bring their Families. It seems like it has been about ten Years. Time flies when you are battling left wing Rats.

Why even bother watching television news shows? Just to expose their lies & biased reporting instead of the truth to friends and others.

Does Rangel know what he means by that???
Just like with Murtha...Rangel tends to talk fast..and say things that don't make sense...
Then, later on, say he has been quoted out of context, if he says something goofy.

Good Morning. This is an important post from linux07ster.
Here is the antidote. It is an excellent post from linux07ster. He is doing the work for MSM. I'm pinging everyone who I think would be interested in seeing what our magnificent Military and Contractors are doing.
Here is our Reporter, linux07ster's work. He is updating it every now and then. Posts 65 and 67 have very interesting maps and charts.
Here goes!
