I thought this was an interesting development. If I remember correctly this was postulated more than a century ago by a Republican Congressman from Minnesota.

Hmmmm. OK flame me if you like, but Walter Brown, a certified YECcer, wrote a book some years back that featured a thin-crusted mid-Atlantic as an event trigger in his very imaginative attempt to argue for how a Noahcian Flood could have occurred.
