I am sure Cuomo would love to see Newt in the race with Newt's low approval ratings. Outside this site, his ratings are not very good and could be because he is a policy wonk more than a campaigner.
actually, Rasmussen polls a Hillary/Newt matchup now. Newt is only down by 7%.
Agreed, I am sure that Cuomo does not have conservative interests in mind when he says this! I think Newt has a lot going for him but the DBM and the scurrilous 'Rats will have an easier time smearing him than most other potential R. candidates, and THAT is why Cuomo wants Newt in the race. I well remember how the DBM turned his reputation and poll standing into dog meat within a very short time.......
