Democratic Party boss Howard Dean demanded that Republican presidential candidates denounce conservative columnist Ann Coulter after she referred to Democratic presidential hopeful John Edwards as a ‘faggot’ during a speech Friday at a national conservative gathering.

Read one of her books. She is brilliant, insightful and delightfully witty. And most importantly, she is right (not to mention Right) on the nose with her commentary and analysis. The fact that it irritates the heck out of the disloyal opposition just adds icing to the cake.

Yeah, we should always walk on eggshells, if we're conservatives. Otherwise, the media might try to make us look bad. We should just give in right now, unless we can think of some civilized, Churchillian response the our disloyal opposition. What a bunch of pansys. Look, we're screwed by the main-stream media, no matter what we do. You think they are gonna take it easy on us, if we make nice? The only way to win this cultural and political fight is by fighting back. What do you want, for us to act like a bunch of faggots?
Also: it is my considered opinion that John Edwards is, in fact, a faggot, who has a wife as his "beard."

Huh? Edwards was already on a rapidly sinking ship. Coulter fired off an UNNECESSARY torpedo at the S.S. Edwards and all that happened is that it turned around and hit our side which is what Ann probably thought would happen in the first place. Meanwhile Coulter will go on to sell more books and book more appearances as a result of another of her MANUFACTURED controversies while OUR SIDE is left to clean up the mess she made.
Bottom line: Ann Coulter's agenda is to help Ann Coulter no matter what damage it does to conservatives.
How about if I tell it to Mort Sahl who can be much more devastating while expending much less energy?

Buy many of her books is her goal. Which is why she stirs up UNNECCESSARY controversy in the crudest of ways. To wit, she has little wit.
So, ok. You don't like her style. Personally, I think that makes you a sissy-boy, but that's just me. I love her style, the way she smacks the enemy right between the eyes with on-target barbs, until they squeal like pigs. Heh heh. It may not be Churchill, or Stahl, or any of the other soft-spoken wits whom you are so fond of (as am I), but it's great fun, and Ann can do it better than anyone else I know.

Walk on eggshells? Not at all. However we do need to be sure we are not stupid. Ann was very stupid to say anything like this. Did she believe she was before a crowd of high school seniors?
Acting moronic is the worst thing we can do. Handing the Treason media pre-digested sound bites is foolish. But Ann is very inconsistent anyway vearing unpredictably between brilliance and sheer stupidity.
Attacks on Edwards like this help ONLY him. But she might have intended this for some warped reason.
I prefer the ju-jitsu technique of taking down the Left with their OWN idiocy rather than crudely slamming them square in the face UNNECESSARILY . Gee! The Edwards campaign was sinking nicely on its own until Ann threw it a life preserver.
Score one for Ann's bank account and ZERO for conservative who have to clean up after her.
