Democratic Party boss Howard Dean demanded that Republican presidential candidates denounce conservative columnist Ann Coulter after she referred to Democratic presidential hopeful John Edwards as a faggot during a speech Friday at a national conservative gathering.

So is Edwards.
BUMP
Ann Coulter has managed to demean both CPAC and Mitt Romney, who introduced her at the conference.
She is despicable. Of course, it's all money in her pocket.
"...she'd die of mental block. Coulter knows her act and her audience. She's made a very good living insulting people."
I disagree. I think she writes very well, and though she's not afraid to insult, she mostly points out hypocrisy. Most reality-affirmed hypocrites avoid the truth. It shames them. At this task, Ms. Coulter is very effective. For the truly reality-unhinged hypocrites, exposure is moot.
Annie, you're never gonna be Judy Garland!!
I'm sure that Howard Dean demanded that the people that compared President Bush to Hitler, when John Kerry compared our soldiers to Ghenkis Khan, when Joy Behar called President Bush a murderer, on and on and on....
I'm sure that Howard Dean demanded that the democratic party denounce those people too?
Hypocrite faggot!
Churchill did not mince words and he was not politically correct.
He would not have hesitated in referring to a sodomist as a sodomist.
BUMP
I think Coulter knows her act and her audience. She caters to her fans because that's how she makes her living and insults are what they expect. She's very good at it, and makes a good living from it. But Coulter is not a messenger for conservatism. She doesn't make converts for her side any more than Michael Moore makes converts for his. The difference being, I think, that Moore us naieve enough to think that he can convert people over to his message though his films, while Coulter's smart enough to know better.
NCR: Tomorrow you can be SURE that Michael Savage, our own NOR CAL REPUB will be on Anne's side.
The rest of you - here what I've heard from the left regarding us, no matter what:
-Condi is a housen*gger
-It's all Bush's fault (hurricanes, tornadoes, the world, the poor)
-Bush should die, be impeached, killed, maimed, tortured
-Republicans should die, be killed, have their cars vandalized, windows smashed
I realize that Anne's rhetoric is not for everyone, the same as Michael Savage, and I understand that's where you are coming from.
You find her speech extreme. I understand all that.
I personally like her tit for tat, her ability to blow up the left. That's me. I understand you find her distasteful but I like the way she operates.
She freaks them out. She's an attractive, thin, beautiful blonde. It's hard for them to deal with that, her intelligence, and her take no prisoners attitude. And bombastic attitude.
Agreed! These "cultural" issues need to be brought to a head, and this is one way to do it. I love Ann Coulter, don't ever give in to the PC'ers.
Uh, no. She's your girl. Ann is all about herself, not conservatism."
Speak for yourself.
I wish we had a million more Ann Coulters in the Republican party.
She has attracted more people to the Conservatative cause than you could do in the next thousand years.
As for Edwards:
Yeah, buddy that's his own hair
That little faggot got his own jet airplane
That little faggot is a millionare.
Money for Nothing, Baby
Money for Nothing
best post!!!!!!!!!Yeah, how dare that woman not bow at the alter of political correctness that we've so carefully constructed!
yeah, as soon as the Democratic party apologizes for Dean.
Hats off to CPAC-- finally a speaker with some balls!
She's just doing the job Republicans don't have the balls to do!
Isn't that a violation of Liberal tenets???
Say it ain't so, Lunatic Howie!
If a doctor says you have a 25% chance of dying from some terminal disease, it sounds horrible. But if the doctor says you have a 75% chance of *beating* that disease, it's not so horrible, is it? It's all about point of view.
Some things I get from Ann's comments:
-Howard Dean is ashamed of the gay community that supports his party and doesn't want any sort of name reflecting on that.
-Howard Dean is ashamed that anyone refer to John Edwards as a member of his party.
-Howard Dean and John Edwards are a shame to their party.
-Howard Dean's party is all about crushing constitutionally guaranteed free speech in this country. (i.e. Ann Coulter, Geffen's remarks about Bilary, etc)
Point of view, baby. That's what it's all about.
