Wow, a whole 474 people in a single county! It is actually disappointing because they were calling for 1500 to 2000 people to vote.

They must have been holding back a bunch of McCain votes last night...because when I saw the results on Hannity and Colmes last night...McCain was WAY behind.

McCain wins close SC straw poll; Giuliani and Hunter close behind
SPARTANBURG, S.C. Spartanburg County Republican officials say Senator John McCain narrowly won a presidential straw poll held in the northern part of this early voting state. McCain beat former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani by just two votes.
The Arizona senator's tally of 164 ballots was six more than California Representative Duncan Hunter. Severe weather last night caused a low turnout of about 800 people and forced the tallying to be suspended. The results left --no-- clear-cut favorite in this conservative county in South Carolina, which will hold the first Southern Republican primary on February Second.
