Your argument consists of a Quote -- without context -- from the radical Left's hysterical rantings against Giuliani. If he pisses of the Left so damned much, maybe he DOES belong at CPAC!

As I've stated repeatedly in the last several days, all that insanity has sent a considerable number of freepers over to the Rudy side of the equation.

You'd have to be an especially weak-minded person to be persuaded not by your own logic but by the comments of anonymous internet posters.

Quite frankly, many of the people I see supporting Rudy I also saw supporting CFR, NCLB, the Prescription Drug Act, etc. In general, my observation is that this group tends to support more liberal policy. Certainly everyone is welcome to their opinion, and I'm not suggesting otherwise.

But let's be honest - many of the Rudy supporters are throwing fits and claiming to be victims simply because they're in disagreement with the site owner. And oddly enough, many of these folks are quick to throw out Jim's comments when it happens to support their case. So watching them cry and moan about the state of the forum is...funny. "Shadenfreude" comes to mind.

Wishing me dead, eh, Howlin. Talk about unhinged. You just made yourself the poster child for such.

I think the owners, and a lot of the conservatives, think that there is a lot of distraction here lately and a little purging of the riff-raff might make this a more focused and useful forum.

That's what it's all about. Now people who like a Republican some freepers don't like want mass bannings. Well, it's going to take an awful lot of bannings to get rid of the Rudy people.

Umm... who did Giuliani rape?

I think some people are forgetting that political campaigns are about trying to get people to come into your tent, not about booting them out on their arse.

Well, I don't know about the rest of them, but the famous Rudy supporters are traitors thread did it for me.

They want us out of our own party. Imagine what that would be like..........LOL.....all us gone and just them in the GOP!

Then why are so many GOPers supporting him? You think that many GOPers are unprincipled? Where's your evidence for that? Maybe the platform doesn't reflect what a consensus of GOPers think?

If that's the case, the platform is disconnected from the people, rather than the people being disconnected from the platform.

I'm not interested in convincing you of anything. You are dead wrong if you think long time FReepers here are going to support a third party kook site or a forum that goes against the GOP.

Frankly, considering your posts on this forum for the last couple of months, I'm surprised God doesn't strike you dead for the sheer hypocrisy of those words.

This is the ultimate Howlin post. You are the worst on FR regarding personal attacks. And then you wish me dead. Only in the trash can of your mind can such a post be concocted.

That's what I keep hearing. And every time I mention it, I get a couple of freepmails from lurkers who either hadn't seen it or the more they think about it, the angrier they become.

Some of them are coming out of lurker mode; more and more every day. And I think it was that comment that finally did it.

That's documented - several posters keep saying they have really scurrilous stuff about Hunter but refuse to post the links.

Well, you managed to post it. I remember you and I and Torie had a go around that night. You FReep mailed me the link. I slothed through it as much as I could. I told you I really wasn't adept at legalese, so I did my own research, and found 3 articles in the San Diego Union-Tribune that confirms it wasn't scurrilous or made up.

Don't be surprised if the left-winged media has their way and dregs it up down the road, and don't come crying to me, because you have been warned.

It took about two minutes from some morally smug type to come along and tell me that my sister had lived long enough and she didn't need those embyonic stem cells.

She didn't bother waiting for me to clarify that they were HER stem cells, but she was FINE with my sister dying.

Pretty telling, IMO.

Sounds about right.  As I have said many times, on FR 'being principled' is sometimes shorthand for 'turn your brain off at the door.'  :-)

Hello? I was outraged the moment I read the treasonous liberal posts and said so on the open forum. I didn't need to wait for anonymous posters to agree with anything.

That others were similarly outraged pleases me immensely because it's sending freepers out of lurk mode into open support. I'm supposed to pretend I'm not happy about that?

Just freepmail your apology. Oh, but only after you wash your hands, please.

I fear for this forum and I am far from alone in my concerns.

I can understand that. If hatred and vitriol are encouraged and allowed - while demanding ideological purity - there will be fewer and fewer people interested. The world wide web is a VERY big place!
