Then why are so many GOPers supporting him? You think that many GOPers are unprincipled? Where's your evidence for that? Maybe the platform doesn't reflect what a consensus of GOPers think?

If that's the case, the platform is disconnected from the people, rather than the people being disconnected from the platform.

I do. I submit as my evidence the United States Congress from 2000-2006. The Farm Bill, CFR, prescription drug benefits - all of these and more were passed by a Republican Congress and signed into law under the pen of a Republican President.

We allow our incomes to be squandered and our rights to be stripped, yet we keep coming back. The height of stupidity is to try the same thing over and over and expect a different result. As for me, I'm going to try something shockingly different this time by not bending any farther to the left. No candidate named Giuliani or McCain need worry about getting a vote from my household. All others are open to negotiation.
