An excellent essay.
The true inconvenient truth for Dumbmocrats is that the WOT
is simply getting in the way of their socialist agenda.
Socialized health care await millions of "undocumented"
residents that desperately need it if they are going
to remain strong and vote Democrat.
Same sex unions and marriage await many and they will
be pressing the party for it.
The wealthy and indeed middle class have so much more
than needed. Don't the conservatives realize how many
high school dropouts are languishing in the inner cities?
Liberals are in full support of freedom of speech. That is
of course if the person is "correct" in his speech. This
is why the Fairness Act is needed again to brake apart
the monopoly of conservative talk radio. Why allow
"incorrect" facts to stand. Television and print media
have always been "fair and balanced" in this nation.
On and on. It makes me ill to think where their priorities
lie while there are many world wide looking to char broil
our hides.
All this as the Hollyweird elite create films and an aura
of decadence that the rest of the world views as truly
American. And they call themselves "Progressives"....JJ61

News reports selectively quoted passages from the pontiff's remarks that made it appear he was attacking Islam. Muslim leaders condemned Benedict's words and a Roman Catholic nun was murdered in Somalia as a result. In the aftermath of the violence, Ali Bardakoglu, grand mufti of Turkey admitted that he had not heard or read the Pope's lecture -- but had in fact based his anger on press reports.
Yea but the press got to bash the west, Christians and Bush all in the same story so it's perfectly OK./s/
Thank you Col. North for an eye opening story.

It is no surprise the MSM has blood on their hands...they have a long history of criminal irresponsibility.

Remember when Newsweak did a story about Korans being flushed down toilets at Gitmo? 17 people died in riots in Jalabad over that. HCN's didn't come to work at Kandahar Air Field that day.

James Cameron, the Hollywood director of "Titanic," had discovered the place where Jesus, his wife Mary and their son were buried, and promised that NBC's exclusive interview "could rock Christianity to its core." Their ID's were confirmed by their driver's licenses and dental records. Its a true fact.

Note: this topic is from March 2007.Our troops aren't the only target for twisted news. Some of it is aimed straight at the heart of Christian belief. On Monday morning NBC News' Matt Lauer proffered an infomercial for "The Lost Tomb of Jesus," a "documentary" airing on the Discovery Channel this weekend. NBC's breathless billing described the production as a "shocking new claim" that James Cameron, the Hollywood director of "Titanic," had discovered the place where Jesus, his wife Mary and their son were buried, and promised that NBC's exclusive interview "could rock Christianity to its core." Peacock network promoters failed to note that the tomb Cameron "discovered" had actually been found nearly three decades ago -- and that credible archeologists had long since dismissed any assertion it belonged to the Jesus Christ crucified on Calvary.
