I guess you'd rather have someone with liberal convictions, then,
So I've noticed.
And it's the same ones telling everybody who they CAN'T like, did you notice that?
Re: 151
>>>Someone warned me not to talk trash about Hunter or something. oh scary. sounds like Kerry and his 'cronies'<<<<
That isn't retread. That brought in and clueless.
I know it wasn't. But, if you are right that Spartanburg got all informed, Rudy lost big time in relation to his national numbers, didn't he?
I am a hard empirical data rather than speculative assertion kind of guy. And of course, the term "diss" assumes there is dissing, and the term "base" needs defining.
As I said, I want to see a poll where GOP voters are informed that Rudy favors gay civil unions, some local government restriction of guns where they so choose, that is Constitutional, and some legal abortions, and see how many of them will defect to not voting, for the Dem, or to a third party. I do not believe there is any such scientific poll. Absent that, you can speculate, and I can speculate, but in the end all we have for the moment, are polls showing Rudy beating the Dem like a drum. I know you don't like it, and maybe the data will change in your direction. Pray for rain or sun, whatever your preference.
LOL. I don't know what that's all about. Pretty much whomever you talk about, you'll need a flamesuit. Welcome to FR, btw.
You're suppose to ping the poster you're trashing.
You're the one who finds conservative convictions to be a boot on your neck, eh?
my wife says the same thing. whats the wrong crowd by the way?
One thing you and the other Rudy trashers have never understood... Yes, Rudy is our choice and we think he will win the nomination... but the point you miss is we will vote for whoever gets it, and happily, we want to win in 2008.
I was wrong. I thought Fr was tax exempt and couldn't endorse a candidate. So maybe they will endorse one.
I think you picked up on the gist of my comment.
Conservatism is like a good mate, you are true to them thru thick and thin and not just when it is convenient to do so..
That FR has been used by some to springboard support for less than conservative candidates is true, but whether it is then also to be seen as acceptable is a personal thing.
Unfortunately, some here aren't to good at getting personal and doing it respectfully. The fruits of labor for some here have reaped nothing but more debt and spending for California.
Anything that was even close to being a "true conservative" would have been better than what folks were sold here not so long ago.
You're the one who lies to further your agenda.
Don't put words in my mouth, little man.
You've been like a raving lunatic on these threads. Try not to be such a Nancy boy.
OK, tell me the last far-left pubbie who won the presidency, then.
Hey, trash away on Duncan if you must, Bucko,, and using the Kerry word ,, real smooth...
....Could be that.....what I was seeing that even with the baggage he still did well...I don't read alot into straw polls or many polls at this point...and I don't bash others on FR or candidates, but just wanted to point out that Rudy is a more potent candidate than many realize....
well, I don't like fire so I'll try to say out of trouble. "ha!"?
George Bush Sr. in 1988.
He's second for now. rudy on the other hand has been out and about with his face in the camera for years and only drew 13 that's 13 votes more than according to y'all, an unheard of candidate.
He who laughs last, laughs best.
Wait until Americans hear about all his peccadillo's, from gun control, to partial birth abortion and supporting gay marriage, draft dodging.
I know my people, Southerners, we won't vote for someone with his record.
Please don't interpet any of this as bashing. Well, maybe the 'he who laughs last' part was a stick. :-)
