Walter Reed FReep #97 - Comrade Bruce dissed by MSM!

Walter Reed FReep Week 97 -- Almost Missed the Bus!

Washington, DC, February 23, 2007 -- Comrade Bruce doesn't like being left out of the spotlight. Poor guy, saw a camera truck and went nuts!

Around 7pm, a NBC crew was finishing up a story about Building 18 (the Barracks) on Georgia Avenue. TFroatz was standing by and asked the on-air talent "What's up?" They exchanged a few words, shook hands and parted ways. Bruce was across the street at the designated anti-America "vigil" station watching the brief scene play out. When the NBC guys headed back to their truck, Bruce called out "Hey, what about me? You have to interview me, too!"

What? "How can you be fair if you only get one side? I question your journalistic integrity!!!!!" No kidding... Bruce was most upset at not being "interviewed". Aaawwwwww!

Bruce and Tantor
Bruce and Tantor
Lucky for him, Tantor stepped up and let the poor commie babble to his heart's content.

Citizen SMASH tried to interview the whole bunch of Pinkos, but they didn't want to talk to him.

Smash Asks

Here's the audio of the exchange.

SMASH: Can I ask you guys a question?

WOMAN: Yeah, sure.

SMASH: Can any of you name three soldiers being treated at this hospital?

The woman muttered something nonsensical about "breach of confidentiality." I turned to Bruce Wolf, the leader of the group.

SMASH: Three?

SMASH: Two?

SMASH: Can you name one?

BRUCE: And yet, they're all my brothers and sisters.

True to form, he said this with his back turned to me.

SMASH: But you support them, right?

BRUCE: That's why we're out here.

SMASH: Well, thanks for your support, anyway.

Did I mention that it was cold? Really, really cold? And windy?

Sensie
Sensei Ern all bundled up against the wind. Until he gets on his motorcycle to go home -- then he adds another layer of 'safety vest'.

Mrs. Trooprally and Cindy-True-Supporter. Mrs. T said a particularly noisy car of wounded warriors turned in to the hospital yelling "Thank you!" and even "We Love You!!!".

Gang
The bus filled with wounded warriors and family came back from the weekly Fran O'Brien's dinner very late. We had just given up hope of ever seeing it and started to tear down when it finally came. I didn't get a shot of the bus, so here's RandolfS, Danielle*, Tom the Redhunter and Fraxinus instead.

The whole list of FReepers & FRiends in attendance last Friday (If I missed anyone - please let me know!): 2ndClassCitizen, Bill from MD*, Cindy-True-Supporter, Citizen SMASH, Danielle*, Fraxinus, George & Ethel*, GunsAreOK, Jimmy Valentine's Brother, Just A Nobody, Kristinn, PleaDeal, RandolfS, Sensei Ern, Tantor, TFroatz, tgslTakoma, Tom the Redhunter, Trooprally [Mr. & Mrs], VAFlagWaver.

There's only one set of pics this week and the collection can be viewed here.

We'll be back out at Walter Reed Friday night, March 2nd, from 6:30 until at least 9:30 at the intersection of Georgia Avenue and Elder Street, NW in Washington, D.C.

The wounded warriors inside the hospital are heartened by the sight of ordinary citizens cheering for them and displaying our thanks for the service and sacrifice they've made on our behalf.

A couple hours this Friday night is very little to give compared to what they've contributed!

tiggles

If you can't get to D.C. to join us but would like to do something for the wounded, you can find a wealth of ideas by FReepmailing Albion Wilde, Cindy-True-Supporter, VAFlagwaver or PleaDeal.

Keeping the BIG LIST: All DC Chapter Walter Reed FReeps - c/o BufordP.

" .... advance to the rear ..."

Exactly, because we WERE STILL THERE when the bus arrived. The troops knew they were running late. And it was cold, again. While not on all four corners, a bunch of FReepers/Lurkers were on the corner to wave to the troops. And the troops and their families enthusiastically waved back.

Looking forward to meeting some CPAC people.

Don't hold your breath. They're busy playing "bingo" with the lights out if you know what I mean.

Being good conservatives, at least we know they are not moaning, oops, saying, "Pull out know".

Ahhhh, Washington weather! We've got to be prepared for any and all kinds for a 3-4 hour FReep. Could go from tropical to 'white out' snow storm in a matter of hours!

Wish I could help on the 'corner to curl up in', but my smoking dog would certainly annoy your allergies ;)

It will be awesome to meet you and all the others coming for the GOE!!!!! Thanks for making the trek!

Thanks for expanding on the text. I didn't make it clear that we still had almost everyone available to quickly grab flags or at least wave and cheer.

Hey all! This morning, it was a wet ride to work. I din't know whether I would make it tonight, but as of right now, there are only poofy clouds in the sky and the sun is shining. Let's pray the sun warms things up and dries things out.

I think it is amazing that God worked out that due to a scheduling conflict, the March 8th comedy show had to be postponed until March 15th. Three days of "IN YOUR FACE PINKOS!" A-HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!

And yet, they're all my brothers and sisters.

Bruce meant to say "Comrades", but he caught himself.

Remember the "Workers and Soldiers Unite" sign, a take off on "Workers of the World Unite", he used a while back?

Bruce really does not support the troops.

Bruce is a ghoul, a grave robber. He steals the goodwill the public has for our wounded and fallen, hoping that he can use people's anguish to the advantage of the terrorists.

You'll never see Bruce Wolf carrying a sign on March 17th asking the other side to "Stop War".

Thanks for your report. I'm so disappointed that health reasons prevent me from being with you guys and showing my support for our troops and their families.

Keep up the good work.

For the 17th, can somone make a sign for me? I want one that mimics the "WAR IS NOT THE ANSWER", but instead says, "KILLING TERRORIST IS THE ANSWER".

It will be good to meet you, BlueOneGolf. My house has three smokers, so even if we quit right now, the smoke wouldn't clear by the 17th.

There's gotta be a non-smoking DC Freeper out there...
