Is not Letterman, with a certain generosity of spirit, supposed to be a comedy show?Have not watched Letterman for years. Never liked him, he was rarely funny to me plus there was a certain meanness in many of his jokes I didn't care for.
Don't think Letterman was on in KC last night anyway. All the local tv channels were covering the severe weather in the area.

Ah, McInsane should have announced on the Food Network. On a strawberry special.

"Stay tuned, Tom Ridge is making a BIG announcement about '08!" I was so depressed; I thought he was running, too. He then came on to officially endorse McCain. What a relief! BBBWWWAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!

This is the state of our culture today. The President of the United STates goes on MTV and talks about whether he wears boxers or briefs.
It goes downhill (bently) from there.

I'm sure the libs love him as a candidate. If they can convince the RNC that he's their guy, they'll take great pleasure in conservatives having nowhere to turn. If you have a DNC liberal and a RNC pseudo-Republican DemonRat-bootlicker both on the ticket, they win either way. Notice how the media is puffing up McCain while running down Romney and acknowledging nobody else? They're doing their damndest to choose our candidate for us. What the people think doesn't matter, the Republican party is a bunch of self-loathing media whores and the Rats know it.

That'll make it the funniest 'Letterman' in years.C'mon, Letterman is funny even if he is a lib. Borat was funny too. You gotta be able to laugh at yourself sometimes, otherwise life's no fun.
But the fact that he announced it on Letterman speaks volumes. He's obviously not getting any traction with real conservatives. And the liberals will vote for Hillary or Osama. McCain is even to the left of Rudy.
To make a long story short, if he gets elected President, I will stand in Macy's window naked and all my fellow FReepers can take turns pulling a single hair off my butt.
Or better yet, pull the hair from McLame's idiot campaign advisor who told him to announce his candidacy on Letterman. This is the last time I'm even going to talk about McLaime. He's done. Stick a fork in him.

Don't be surprised that McCain will soon realize he can't win the Republican nomination and run as an "Independent".
To: WestVirginiaRebel
However, there is a real problem: McCain is somewhat pro life, Rudy, not at all!

Gringrich has nostalgic value and is a formidable debate and soundbite guy. It's funny how 7 years out of congress can mellow perceptions of a guy. He's the darkhorse to emerge on top. At least a VP spot to energize the south and conservatives elsewhere.
