You really need to get the facts straight before you go posting stuff like that.
Jane left Reagan. Because she was bored in the marriage.
To compare Reagan to Rudy in that aspect shows you disregard for facts.

Donna Hanover was also a liability for the mayor, as she opened her own office in Gracie Mansion and starred in "The Vagina Monologues." I'm not sure that the divorce was all his fault.

Was Rudy's mistress on the government payroll (or working as a volunteer in his office)? Was Rudy sexuall propositioning coworkers (including using goons to bring women to his hotel room where he'd drop his pants and order them to "kiss it"? No. But no one here is comparing him to Clinton.
Meanwhile Giuliani is still a notorious adulterer and would make a lousy president.

If character really matters, Rudy can not be the GOP nominee.I'd rather him go down because he is wrong on most of the issues. That is the high ground and it should be taken.

Is adultery only a relevant issue when it can be used to defeat Democrats? I don't know. Why did the LA Times argue that Schwarzenegger was infit for Governor in 2003 because of an alleged grope 20 years earlier, but San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom shouldn't step down because of an affair with his campaigner manager's (and best friend's) wife?
Why was Rudy's divorce when mayor such a big deal, but Newsom's affair when mayor is not?

Isn't she the one nut who did that outrageous play? Yes MS. VAGINA MONOLOGUE DONNA HANOVER! She used Rudy's Mayor status to further her journalism and tv acting career and use all the perks she could to further that too.
Now I see she is not doing much better:
GIULIANI'S EX-WIFE BECOMES AN ONLINE LOVE AND SEX COACH...
Move over, Dr. Ruth and Dr. Judy: There's a new sex advice guru in town, and her name is - gulp - Donna Hanover.
The former first lady of New York has jumped headfirst into her new gig as AOL's love-and-sex coach, mincing few words as she dishes out tips to the lovelorn and the lustful.

You know...you guys keep saying the media is pumping Giuliani up as the front runner, but then you start a gazillion threads a day about what a terrible guy he is.
You seem to be chasing him pretty hard....are you sure he isn't the front runner?

Good grief, not this again! You sound like every airheaded celebrity in 1998.
Nobody cared where Bill Clinton stuck his pecker. It's the fact that he lied about under oath.
Nice try, though. Thanks for treading that one out again.

Do you know the facts of that divorce? She left him, was supposedly having an affair with Lew Ayres and Reagan was reported to be very upset by the whole thing.
Please do not compare him to Rudy Giuliani.

Notorious? Is in contrast to the "reputable adultery"? This is nothing but a hit piece by AP.
To: Always Right; Ol' Sparky
If adultery was a legitimate reason to oppose Bill Clinton because it revealed his lack of character (and it was)Then you'll need to run personal background checks on every single candidate on the ballot before you cast your vote.
It's a silly criteria, because the most prolific adulterer might be the one who's best at hiding it, and thus you'll never know whether you're voting for a hero or a cad.
That's a sorry position for you to be in as a voter.

"Notorious Adultery"?
Is there such a thing as "Honorable Adultery" or "Respectable Adultery"?
Serial Adulterer comes to mind. He was openly having an affair while still married to wife # 2.This is Rudy's third marriage.
Will there be more???
If the Republican nominee does not get the endorsement of the Christian Right-wing base of the GOP, then Hello Pres. Hillary!
Rudy has no chance of winning the White House.
None.

I think it was Notorious, because it was not well-concealed and discrete. It was "open and notorious." The papers openly reported on his relationships with Christine and Nathan.
To: Ol' Sparky
Defeating him with his record is sufficient.

I will not vote for Rudy , due to his lack of stand on certain issues but this in wrong IMO. I put adultery right up their with murder because a part of you dies but this is between him and his wife (ex). If he was having marital problems right now that could be an issue but as I said...this just doesn't seem right.
