The Governor who had an iron spine by taking on the problems of the Big Dig without flinching, picks up this endorsement from the very popular and forceful ani-illegal immigration advocate Sherrif Joe Arpaio. Now, I wonder why Senator Lettuce, er.. McCain, didn't get this endorsement?

Sherrif Joe Arpaio is an extremely worthwhile endorsement. This improved my lukewarm opinion of Mitt Romney, though I still remain hopeful that Duncan Hunter can pull a rabbit out of the hat.
I can hear all the "hard left wing" "liberal" panties twisting already.
LMAO!
Still not clear between this post and the secondary one.
Is this a campaign job appointment or simply an endorsement? Big difference.
I love my County Sherrif!!!!!......
I don't know the answer to that question.

I get a kick that Romney is getting a lot quality people in Senator Lettuce's, er.. McCain's, backyard.
Is there a conflict of interest (elected official campaigning for another) or is it an unpaid (symbolic) position?
When polls like these come out the first thing to do is to see if there is a DriveByMedia connection. Maybe the DriveByMedia is trying to tell us what "mainstream" Republicans like on social issues.
Sorry, responded to the wrong thread (this is what happens when you open more windows than you can handle!). The response should have gone here.

I found this great Fox News video clip with our hero Sheriff Arpaio up against a LULAC spokesman. They are discussing a federal and state agreement that Mitt Romney arranged to allow Massachusetts State Troopers to investigate immigration status and arrest illegal aliens they encounter during the normal course of their duties.
More info about Gov. Mitt Romney's record is in my profile page. See my tagline or use this link for the Immigration section.
At least it was a start. No matter the number of LEO involved in MA, it was more than the number of LEO who have the same jurisdiction in Texas (i.e., NONE).
Romneys action denying in-state tuition for illegal aliens contrasts sharply with my Gov. Rick Perry in the bright red state of Texas who supports granting in-state tuition to illegal aliens. I wish we had Mitt for our governor in Texas the last four years; especially for his tougher stands on immigration, taxes, and spending restraint.
I see by your FR profile you are in MA. We'll be praying for you. With your new far leftist Gov. Deval Patrick, you folks need all the help we can give you.
Romney was a hard ass when it came to the Big Dig. Don't distort his record just because you don't like him.
No freak'n way. The unions, the political hacks, the engineering firms. No one paid or feared anything. Zip, nada, nothing, not a dime. Was %99.99 of it his fault? Nope. Did he shake anything up? Nope. Did he grandstand, do a Governors investigation? Nope. He had better uses, for him, for his time.
Don't tell me that him being Governor wasn't much more than a resume checkoff to the Presidency.
If he couldn't, or wouldn't, take on dumb, greedy Democrats, I don't see him doing it on the big stage.
