The latest Keystone Poll from the state of Pennsylvania shows that both Rudy Giuliani and John McCain would defeat the top two Democrats in a General Election match up.
PRESIDENT - PENNSYLVANIA Rudy Giuliani (R) 53% Hillary (D) 37%
John McCain (R) 45% Hillary (D) 41%
Rudy Giuliani (R) 52% Barack Obama (D) 32%
John McCain (R) 43% Barack Obama (D) 37%
Even more, Hillarys favorable/unfavorable rating is a pathetic 32%/46% in the state. The other three mentioned above have net positive favorable ratings.
The more and more I see these polls, it makes you wonder how well Giuliani and McCain could do if this wasnt such a poisonous atmosphere for Republicans. Republicans are at about the lowest point they ever have been in a long time and yet, McCain and Giuliani still manage to hold leads in General Election match ups for President in these nominally blue states like Pennsylvania. Its not like Hillary and Obama are unknowns, so name recognition has nothing to do with it. This poll was done February 19-25 among 540 registered voters.

Actually, I suspect that this poll has scared the daylights out of the dems. It's very interesting.

You've got to see this. Rudy beats Hillary by 16 points, Obama by 20 in Penn., a blue state!

The bad news is that the press is going to go into overdrive trying to destroy Rudy.

Now we'll see how Rudy holds up in PA once more people find out his views on abortion. Right now this is a popularity/name recognition contest.

Even more, Hillarys favorable/unfavorable rating is a pathetic 32%/46% in the state. Don't underestimate the power of the MSM to change this. Shoot, if the MSM can turn Al Gore and John Kerry into viable candidates....
To: PhiKapMom
You're welcome. I'm having a blast making them.

It could be, too, that some Pennsylvanians are already repenting over electing that jerk to the Senate.

You mean "Electro-Shock"?
To: kinoxi
We'll see. The best I can figure is that a Guiliani PResidency would be a great one for the Press. He is engaging and he doesn't back down from a fight. He actually likes talking to the press...Hillary will avoid it like the plague and they know Obama will slip up because of inexperience/
