Slobodan Milosevic was posthumously exonerated on Monday when the international court of justice ruled that Serbia was not responsible for the 1995 massacre at Srebrenica. The former president of Serbia had always argued that neither Yugoslavia nor Serbia had command of the Bosnian Serb army, and this has now been upheld by the world court in The Hague. By implication, Serbia cannot be held responsible for any other war crimes attributed to the Bosnian Serbs.
The allegations against Milosevic over Bosnia and Croatia were cooked up in 2001, two years after an earlier indictment had been issued against him by the separate international criminal tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) at the height of Nato's attack on Yugoslavia in 1999. Notwithstanding the atrocities on all sides in Kosovo, Nato claims that Serbia was pursuing genocide turned out to be war propaganda, so the ICTY prosecutor decided to bolster a weak case by trying to "get" Milosevic for Bosnia as well. It took two years and 300 witnesses, but the prosecution never managed to produce conclusive evidence against its star defendant, and its central case has now been conclusively blown out of the water.
However, Monday's ruling is about far more than Milosevic. Ever since the end of the cold war, the US and its allies have acted like vigilantes, claiming the right to bomb other countries in the name of humanity. The Kosovo war was the most important action taken on this basis and, as such, the curtain-raiser for Iraq. Fought, like the Iraq war, without UN approval, it was waged partly because the international community felt it should have intervened more robustly against Yugoslavia over Bosnia. It now turns out that Serbia was not in control in Bosnia after all.

Different court. The kangaroo court that Milosevic was being persecuted by was the "International Criminal Court for the Former Yugoslavia."

The person who put together the lawsuit is a Professor of International Law at the University of Illinois, named Frances A. Boyle. Although Wiki isn’t the most authoritative source, it is useful for a barebones description of Boyle’s activities:
"Dr. Francis Anthony Boyle, is a professor of international law at the University of Illinois College of Law. He is a graduate of the University of Chicago and Harvard Law School. He also received a Ph. D. in political science from Harvard University.
Between 1988 and 1992 Boyle was a member of the board of Amnesty International USA. He threatened to sue Amnesty for what he perceived as bias in its coverage of abuses against Palestinians’ human rights ; he has since been a critic of the organization. Boyle also charged that Amnesty’s staff had been infiltrated by US and UK security services (see Covert Action interview below).
From 1991 to 1993, Boyle was a legal advisor to the Palestine Liberation Organization. Boyle is currently attorney of record for the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria and a member of the Nobel Peace Prize for Governor George H. Ryan Committee.
Professor Boyle is a controversial figure at the University of Illinois. He worked to prevent a war between the United States and Libya in the 1990s, and speaks fondly of his interactions with Muammar al-Qaddafi. Professor Boyle has taken a strong stand against the actions taken by the United States in Afghanistan and Iraq following the September 11, 2001, attacks. He nevertheless maintains a highly visible public profile for a law professor, making appearances on such interview shows as Fox’s The O’Reilly Factor and Moneyline with Lou Dobbs.
Boyle is a United States citizen, but also holds honorary citizenship of Bosnia-Herzegovina, which he received in 1993 while he was an adviser to Bosnian war-time president Alija Izetbegoviæ.
Boyle has also taken a strong stand in favor of Hawaiian independence and against a University of Illinois “pub crawl” that occurs on St. Patrick’s Day, arguing that the latter is offensive to persons of Irish nationality. In the former he uses a resolution signed by former U.S. President Bill Clinton apologizing for U.S. involvement in the overthrow of the Hawaiian monarchy as justification for Hawaiian independence. In the latter, he filed a complaint with the U.S. Department of Justice’s Civil Rights Division, claiming that he had to endure a “hostile work environment.”
In 2002, Boyle protested a speech by Ruth Wedgwood, a law professor performing consulting work for the Bush administration, by equating her advocacy of military tribunals in the War on Terror to kangaroo courts. He underlined this point by accompanying an individual dressed in an anthropomorphic kangaroo costume, referred to as "Wedgie the Kangaroo".
More recently Boyle has been on the vanguard of movement to impeach U.S. President George W. Bush".

...by the way, I was the one who also advised Croatia to sue the rump Yugoslavia, explained to them how to do so, and gave them my Bosnian papers free of charge to use towards that end, which they did. Serbia and Montenegro will not be fit to join Europe until it has been De-Nazified. S&M is the Polecat of Europe. fab.

Vahid Karavelic, at the time the commander of the First Sarajevo Corps, knew. He spent more than ten days in the camp overseeing the work of the Serb camp inmates on the runway of the helicopter landing pad and a gas station that was supposed to serve it. He distributed ranks to the guards, prompting them thereby to maltreat us more, in order to speed up the construction. The camp was only 20 meters away from the helicopter landing pad and the building housing the headquarters of the 14th Division of the Army of Bosnia-Hercegovina. On four occasions, during 1994 and 1995, I saw from the distance of between 10 and 15 meters Alija Izetbegovic and recognized my pre-war colleagues among his bodyguards. Izetbegovic passed through the tunnel under the airport runway to Tarcin, from where he flew to different parts of the country in a helicopter. It is interesting that Izetbegovic used helicopters marked by red crosses, and the whole region was secured during his visits by Malaysian UNPROFOR soldiers. I got a confirmation that Izetbegovic knew about the existence of the camp "Silos", including the identity of the inmates, in 1994, when two of his escorts, Fadil Pekic and Akir Sisic paid me a visit. They promised that they would urge Izetbegovic to order that I be released and then, two hours after their departure, the camp guards beat me so badly that I spent 15 days in coma. In 1996 in Pale I found out that Haris Silajdzic also knew about the existence of the camp in Tarcin. I knew him through my work and before the war I had coffee with him at least once a week. During the election campaign Silajdzic was a guest of the then Serb Television in the Pale studio and I, to make the irony more poignant, was in charge of making sure that the guests from the Federation were safe. I shall never forget an encounter with Haris Silajdzic in the office of the editor-in-chief, full of guests and journalists. He was obviously scared when he saw me. I asked him whether he had known about "Silos" and that I had been kept in that camp. To my surprise, he said he had. He tried to excuse himself by saying that he had written four times to Izetbegovic urging that I be released. I replied that it was good that he wrote four times to Izetbegovic, because I spent four years in the camp. God forbid, he could have written five or six times...
