The 2nd Ammendment is a pretty good litmus test for where a man stands on the Constitution, and on the notions of limited government, the sovereign citizen, and all of that.

McCain is, besides being crazy, guilty of a pretty concentrated attack on the 1st Ammendment and I see no reason to believe the 2nd would be safe on his watch. But we'll never have to find out. McCain is only a contender in the minds of the newsies, and they haven't a clue about this or anything else. Oh, and in his own mind, but thats pretty irrelevant.

Romney is not a bad guy, he's a moderate, which to me means weak in the knees. I don't dislike him, but we're at war. I want someone a little tougher.

Giuliani is a Lieberman Republican, in my view. I like him, he gets it on the war, he's tough enough to lead us at war, and he's wrong on just about everything else. I'll vote for him if he's the nominee, and I'll do whatever I can to make sure he's not the nominee.

What can Giuliani do for the Islamic War with a Liberal Congress? And under Giuliani that Congress will get more liberal in 2008 and even more in 2010. If we do not have a conservative in this race it would be better for Mrs. Clinton to win. She will give us back the House in 2010 and maybe the Senate, too. Any other Democrat who is any sort of real contender, at this point, running against one of the "big three" Republicans makes for an awful scenario because he will probably keep a leftist congress through his term. That would still not be a reason to vote for Mr. Giuliani because a Giuliani win will just about end the viability of all conservative social issues. A Democrat win leaves the socons in the field because that is the other side scoring a victory in the seesaw of battle, not your own side handing you over to the enemy.

Lieberman is a putz.

Rudy is not tough, once you take away all the JQ laws around him. Just another cream puff pol from Lawn Guyland.

You have the right attitude. I'll vote for any Republican also if they are the nominee. We need to stick together when the primary is over.

That pretty well sums it up for me.

Who do you like as an alternate to Rudy? Fred Thompson? Can he beat Hillary?

2000 and 2004 has proved this statement incorrect. President Bush supports gun ownership and less restrictions.. yet grew the size of the federal government and spending faster than FDR.
