I am really proud of the President for this.
I simply hate the idea of waste so I recycle, get free stuff from lots of sources, compost, grow my own food, etc.
If it helps the environment that is okay with me but it is not my goal.

I use solar lighting because I don't want to run up the electric bill and I do want to avoid dark areas around the home's exterior. I save on water because I don't like big water bills. Waste is not a conservative value.
Look at Al Bore's electric bill. He is a total fraud, but we knew that already.

One of my hobbies is woodworking so I recycle all the wood I can get my hands on. I might be too good at it though as I have about 4000 board feet of lumber right now. I think this year I had better do more woodworking than collecting as I am running out of space to store it.
