Only your dispassionate Canadian correspondent could write this without colour or favour, but is it possible that George Bush is a secret Green? Evidently his Crawford Winter White House has 25,000 gallons of rainwater storage, gray water collection from sinks and showers for irrigation, passive solar, geothermal heating and cooling.
By marketplace standards, the house is startlingly small, says David Heymann, the architect of the 4,000-square-foot home. Clients of similar ilk are building 16-to-20,000-square-foot houses.
Furthermore for thermal mass the walls are clad in "discards of a local stone called Leuders limestone, which is quarried in the area. The 12-to-18-inch-thick stone has a mix of colors on the top and bottom, with a cream- colored center that most people want. They cut the top and bottom of it off because nobody really wants it, Heymann says. So we bought all this throwaway stone. Its fabulous. Its got great color and it is relatively inexpensive.
Not a very large carbon footprint in comparison to Algore, ravishing the environment with the power usage in his mansion.
You've GOT to know that PT Barnum is laughing from the grave about The Goracle's Carbon Credit scam...
Create a fake commodity, then guilt-trip rich libs into buying "Credits" from you...
WHAT A SCAM!!!!
Let's see, he's not a holier than thou, hypocritical, bloviating, skinny, smelly, vegan communist.
So, no.
No kidding. Where can I get a piece of that action?

Prairie Chapel Ranch, Crawford, Texas, is the home of President George W. Bush.
The passive-solar house is positioned to absorb winter sunlight, warming the interior walkways and walls of the residence.
Geothermal heat pumps circulate water through pipes buried 300 feet (100 m) deep in the ground.
A 40,000 US gallon (151 m³) underground cistern collects rainwater gathered from roof urns; wastewater from sinks, toilets, and showers cascades into underground purifying tanks and is also funneled into the cistern.
The water from the cistern is then used to irrigate the landscaping around the four-bedroom home.
I have absolutely no problem with hybrids....
Just let me know when they come up with one that will tow an 18-ft. Cargo trailer on a hot day, get me through the next blizzard on a county road, and tow my 5,500lb. camper to the top of the mountain....
I use solar lighting because I don't want to run up the electric bill and I do want to avoid dark areas around the home's exterior. I save on water because I don't like big water bills. Waste is not a conservative value.
Look at Al Bore's electric bill. He is a total fraud, but we knew that already.
Japanese hybrids, more nails in Detroit's tires...
We all know FEMA is going to react quickly to any disaster and come down our street specifically with police protection, food, water, generators and shelter. Because they say they will. Thats good enough warning for me to take basic survival into my own hands.
A good Scout is prepared.

We should all live in a house the size of algores instead of this meager 4000 sq ft house.
leadership is set by example, not by lecture.
I was driving my Hybrid when Detroit was annoucing their plans to build them, and I'm still driving it after they announced their plans not to bother (Ford). My car is built of aluminum, as far as I know the only affordable car built of aluminum. I always wanted an aluminum car! I haven't even heard of a Detroit "plan" for that. Anyway the Insight is a collector's item. Importation was in the low thousands to hundreds these last couple of years.
I am thinking of going into the tree planting business here in Alaska, that has got to be a better cabon credit, right?
Getting stuff for free is great. One of my hobbies is woodworking so I recycle all the wood I can get my hands on. I might be too good at it though as I have about 4000 board feet of lumber right now. I think this year I had better do more woodworking than collecting as I am running out of space to store it.
Compare and contrast Dubya, who walks the walk and keeps his mouth shut, with big-mouthed hypocrite Al Gore.
The only hybrid with a 5 speed stick! An 1800 pound thoroughbred!
