I use solar lighting because I don't want to run up the electric bill and I do want to avoid dark areas around the home's exterior. I save on water because I don't like big water bills. Waste is not a conservative value.

That is very good. We are going to build a house on our farm and it will be solar powered. We might even have a windmill operate our well pump.
