and oppose taking steps that we as a society need to take to deal with the issue of climate change," she said.

People that say that we the people have control over the climate and need to deal with it -as in stop it - are beyond STUPID. People don't control the temp of the planet.

might start the public thinking global warming is a "liberal" cause.

It's a bit too late for that. Things have also gotten problematic for any push for clean energy technology because it has gotten associated with a liberal label and not a business one. Thanks, Al.

Is she a complete retard, as in brain dead?

". . . afterall, that environmentalists were decried as tree-huggers, and former President Bush railed against them — trying to say it was the spotted owl against logging interests and jobs in the West."

Has anyone told her that they found all the spotted owls when they looked in the new growth forest, which is where the owls went after they started cutting trees in the old growth forest? It was only eleven years ago.

"Gore has repeatedly said the environment is not a Democratic or Republican issue; it’s a moral issue. But now that Hollywood has so completely embraced the former vice president, one wonders if this issue will be associated only with liberal causes."

The sick part is that she's not kidding. Has See BS got their heads so far up their asses that they can't see the problem in this remark? Hello, See BS, we've been associating global warming with stupid liberals since the Kyoto Protocol was introduced in 1997. Nine years have gone by. Is there no one at See BS with a clue? I guess not, they got rid of Bernie Goldberg. He'll have another best seller with this dolt. Coulter and Limbaugh are probably too busy laughing to comment.

If you haven't looked at the blog, please do. She gets hammered on page after page.

Poor Katie, she has run out of ideas.

Katie,, just sit there and scream "HEY, LOOK AT ME" for 20 mins every night, it's a better script. More people would tune in!

In California, we have a Governor who pledged to take action against Global Warming.

Darn, Ah-nold don't mess around. We had a billion dollars in fruit damage this year from cold.

Couric also wonders out loud if the Academy Awards Best Documentary Oscar presentation to Gore for his "An Inconvenient Truth" might start the public thinking global warming is a "liberal" cause.

Ya think?????

"I have it on good authority that Algore buys carbon credits from a rice farmer in China, so there's nothing to worry about./sarcasm off"

Are these carbon credits untraceable like the used underwear donations, he deducted to the IRS? Where do you buy carbon credits?!!! I thought about buying some Suburbans and El Caminos, putting them up on blocks, and having algore pay ME for NOT driving them.

First she has to explain why all the "experts" claimed that magnetic fields from power lines were harming health... Now a few years later, people buy high priced magnets to promote health! LOL

Or how silicon breast implants were surely to blame for health problems in women - in spite of a resounding lack of scientific/medical evidence. Later studies proved there was no link...

With a track record like this on many issues big and small, I think I'll pass on the hysteria.

Did you notice that "global warming" just isn't working as a cause anymore. Too much controversy over the so-called "unequivocal" evidence of it... Turns out it is not so unequivocal after all. I happened to catch a few minutes of the show, including good old Al speaking about the "climate crisis" - must be the new Orwellian-speak. Global warming isn't working, particularly in the midst of winter. Especially when evidence and scientific methods are questionable. But "climate crisis" - now that is something you can work with! Why, any bad or unusual weather? We can blame it on the climate crisis! Hot, cold, wet, dry, we got ourselves a workhorse of an issue here! :-/ Heck, there was a blurb on the headlines in Google today about scientists claiming they would need "Tens of Billions" of dollars to begin battling the climate crisis. Ah, now the real motivation comes out. Not to actually study the environment, but money, pure and simple.

The whole shift from the dying dog "global warming" to "climate crisis" is shockingly familiar. Where did I see that??? Oh yeah, in the book "State of Fear" - where the shift was from global warming to "abrupt climate change." You be the judge, coincidence? I don't think so. I think the radical tree-huggers are going by basically the same playbook.

What the American public should do...stand up and demand a carbon tax...for all of those who are using 3 times or more the amount of power/natural gas that a normal family uses. You know precisely what group we are talking about (Al Gore, Couric, the Hollywood crowd, the millionare wannabes in Florida, etc). Make it a tasty 33 percent tax. And to make it more interesting...all of the revenue that comes in...must be split evenly between social security and the national debt. If Gore and the dimwits are smart...they will put up solar cells and wind-mills. Then you will notice a dramatic drop in the amount of power that the US consumer requires (I'm betting 15 percent).

Everytime a person stands to speak on global warming...I want the kWh numbers of all of their houses. After a few weeks...most of these global warming experts will likely decline interviews on radio and TV. This is the method to get them off the air.

I like the way you think, but unfortunately it won't work. 33% tax on what? Energy bills? For the people you're talking about, their energy bills are negligible compared to their income. Its kinda like the change we put in a parking meeting. The people getting stuck with the carbon tax will be you and I in the form of higher utility bills for all. G-d know's where the $$ will go, but it won't impact "global warming" one bit.

The embarrasment factor is another issue--no one like to look like a hypocrite. Whoever obtained the data on Gore's home this week is an absolute genius. They also strategically timed the release to conincide with his Oscar award.

Once again, Katie proves to be shallow, snobbish, and stupid all at the same time. Keep talking down to the voters, honey, that will really help your ratings.
