This Gathering of Eagles will come to be known as the "Woodstock" of Patriotism.
Dear America:
I have seen Vietnam Veterans and their family's gather at Rolling Thunder by the Hundreds of thousands, At Melbourne, Florida for the kickoff of the year's Vietnam Veteran reunions.
At a thousand small towns in between both coasts for a day of festivities and unabashed patriotism ... At Kokomo Indiana for the last, all Veteran's reunion of the year.
I have ridden coast to coast and found literally thousands of Vet groups all working independently of each other, but all working towards a common goal; the betterment of the Veteran's lot and the betterment of The USA.
There were almost 500,000 bikes at last years Rolling Thunder, and easily and over a hundred thousand vets at many other, separate reunions.
This GATHERING OF EAGLES transcends all those reunions in importance; as we are not only going to protect the Memorials and to Honor our dead as we gather; but to boost the Morale of our troops engaged in battle with an enemy who has attacked our shores, who has been attacking us since any of us can remember by blowing up our embassies, knocking our planes from the skies, killing our Marines in their sleep, murdering our sailors at chow while their ship sat at anchor.
We are at a point in our history where the danger to our democracy has NEVER been greater or more visible.
Our troops hear the protesters because the left leaning Mass Media WANTS them to hear only that side of America.
And they do hear it.
And they are aware of this coming "GATHERING OF EAGLES" Very aware.
They, our Marines, Army, Air Force and Navy engaging the enemy in both Afghanistan and Iraq will be watching to see ... "How many?" How many Americans support them? They will be watching ... and they must not be disappointed.
This is one of the most important gatherings in America's history. Every bit as important as how many of those Revolutionary War Soldiers braved the Winter to win this country its Freedom.
Every bit as important as those millions of citizens who rationed everything they had; lived without butter, tires, worked 12 hour shifts, gave up their pots and pans so America might have a better chance to win W.W.II.
This sacrifice of ours is only of time. We will not be huddled freezing around tiny camp fires with rags for shoes, no one has to go without so our troops might have the equipment they need to carry the battle.
We need you! Every one of you!
We need you to spread the word, and to come to Washington, DC. To be there at the Wall on March 17th; not only to make certain the hard core anarchist among the protesters do not deface any memorial, but to send a message to our troops in harms way.
A message they will be listening and watching for.
It is up to each of us to look inside ourselves and ask ..."Is this worth it?"
The only possible answer you can arrive at is that is not only very much worth it; it is IMPERATIVE that you go.
The sound of a hundred thousand flags being held aloft in dignity and HONOR will be deafening in its wonderful silence ... a silence heard all around this world.
This Gathering of Eagles will come to be known as the "Woodstock" of Patriotism.
Those of you on the fence as if you can go or not, I say to you now; Please, you must go!
There will most likely never be a more important event in our lifetime.
We need you to stand together with us on the 17th of March or the Jane Fonda's, the CODE PINKS and Stalinist Worker's Party of this country will claim victory.
And our troops today will feel that day what we felt in the Jungles of Vietnam, even as we fought the biggest battle of the Cold War.

Methinks the MSM will be asleep at the wheel on this one. While they make a big deal of quantifying enemy attacks they have no intention of offering a proper perspective to the public at large.

There were 2.5 million of us during the Vietnam Era and count on about half of us being involved in one way or the other.
I wish I could be there (I have to work), but I'll be extra patriotic on March 17th. Put a couple of these in the Porter Johns for me.

They might try, but they WILL fail.
I won't be able to get there can't get out of work, have to support my family and all those illegals on welfare. But for the good image of vets I hope it doesn't come to violence, we all know how the new media would portray that. But in all honesty, this old jarhead would be the first to crack some Un-American heads..... Not a Veitnam Vet, but a Marine and patriot, and always leave a chair and a drink for the missing but not forgotten..... GOD BLESS THE EAGLES, OUR TROOPS AND AMERICA
I have come up with a way to get an accurate count of how many protester show up.
Count the number of port-o-johns that get used, and multiply that number by 300.
And by used I mean have an actual waiting line to use them.
Barely used means no lines at all and you multiply the number by 100 for each one barely used.
It's not an exact science but it is an effective way to do a head count.
There's a joke in there only a Sailor or Marine will get.
I completely agree! I just got off the phone with someone here in Los Angeles that usually knows of the counters being set up. He told me that there ISN'T one that he knows of, and that he has "other" plans. I am disgusted with the lack of dedication and fortitude by so many. I'll give this guy a pass.
There is a group of us that has been steadfastly pleading to get folks to come out and physically challenge the Left, but in most instances, it has been to no avail. People would rather be armchair patriots,than take to the corners. Especially if the media doesn't give them air time. Disgusting!
The time of armchair patriotism is at an end! It must not continue! No more excuses! There will be more of us, if more people stop making excuses and stand up!

Is anyone aware of any individuals or groups from Mississippi or southern Alabama who will be going? I need a car pool ride. I can be there, just can't make it on my own wheels.

THEY COME PREPARED TO DO BATTLE and they are well organized.
Seriously, it's not just bandanas over the faces, they have BMX or hockey pads and protection on under their clothes, they bring improvised weapons like D-Cell batteries in socks, flammable liquids in unmarked water bottles, etc.; stuff that can be quickly assembled or disassembled into innocent components carried by multiple persons.
If their target is the Memorial, they will likely create a diversion to get the police away from the Memorial. If they want the Gathering of Eagles folks away, they will create a physical confrontation with them in one area, hoping to draw the rest over and then they'll hit the unprotected area. If you're protecting an area, stay at that area. When your adrenalin gets going, you'll want to go help, DON'T DO IT. The Eagles need to have people free from protection assignments to respond to these diversions so the Memorial is not left unprotected.
They use cell phones, hand radios, police scanners to keep their people informed. They will have folks on bikes or skates so they can move quickly from one spot to another (unprotected) spot.
Oh and most important: As tempting as it will be, do not let the black block folks draw you into any violence. Philosophically, you don't need to lower yourself to their level. Practically of course you can defend yourself, but be forwarned that the black blockers will turn that around on you too.
They will have people whose only job is to get photos and video. Any pics or vids of you defending yourself will never see the light of day. Any pic or video that can be construed as you initiating violence or "over" defending yourself will be on the media and attached to a criminal complaint, a lawsuit, etc.
Because of this it is important for the Eagles folks to have assigned pic and video people too. The black blockers will injure themselves and blame it on you. They will start s--t with you and only film you responding. They have lots of free time to edit their videos and pics then distribute them to anyone who will look.
The DC cops, Capitol Police, and Parks Police already know all this from experience.
I'm on the other side of the country and can't be there. Please pass this info on to the Gathering of Eagles folks. The more prepared they are, the less chance of success from anarchists. It's important they don't succeed because if they do it just emboldens them to stoop even lower for their next "action."
