Buying "offsets" seems eerily similar to the old practice of sinners being able to buy "indulgences" as a payment for their sins.
Al Gore might have known this if he didn't flunk out of divinity school...

Buying "offsets" seems eerily similar to the old practice of sinners being able to buy "indulgences" as a payment for their sins. That was one of the major problems that Martin Luther had with the Catholic Church at the time and was a principle reason for his Protestant Reformation. Perhaps sensible people can use the "offsets" practice to launch our own reformation of sorts today.

However, he revealed the truth about his religious beliefs when he said at the Oscars that honoring Global Warming is a MORAL issue, not a political (ie partisan to one party) issue.
That revelation takes the whole lid off the position that Global Warming is Science-based.
Since public schools are not allowed to discuss religion, I say we demand that public schools stop promoting the concept of Global Warming as Truth.
