A group known as soulforce is coming to CBC on March 12, 2007. They sent a letter to the President expressing a desire to dialogue with our students about being Gay Christians. They do not like our CBC's statement on the homosexual lifestyle and want us to accept them as fellow Christians.
They were sent a letter informing them that we would not change what we thought about the matter and we are not interested in a dialogue with them.
They are coming any way and called the Chief of Police and told them they were coming and expected to be arrested.
Here's a couple of reviews of what happened last year when Soulforce visited Abilene Christian University (a conservative Church of Christ college - the non-instrumental, Stone Campbell tradition, not the United Church of Christ), I hope they help.

Thanks for letting us know.. prayers for all concerned. This will be interesting for the students to observe. It will not enhance the GAY movement at all... just have them more despised/rejected.
Betcha they called the news media and told them the same thing. Sounds like this could be a real show. I expect to be hearing about it.

Yeah, this group came to my alma mater, Lee University (TN). IIRC the president sent a letter to the student body and the parents, stating that Soulforce would be coming and that they would be not be granted a public forum. Basically the group was allowed on campus, they even sat through a chapel service, but no one took their bait and after a couple of days they left quietly.

As a Christian, I have always felt the Springfield, Missouri was a major fortress of the Bible belt. Now that the Sodomists have taken most of the nation, it is on their radar and has evidentlly become the target of a search and destroy mission.
