My firm opinion is...it depends. I would like to see Newt as President, but if the Wildebeast gets the Dim nomination (or O'Bama for that matter), and Giuliani has the Republican nomination, guess who I will vote for. It won't be the Dim.

(N.B. I read an article that said many Irish are so dumb that they think O'Bama is one of their own. And I have an Irish grandmother.)

Sure sounds like Rudy has a lot of past statements to explain to the conservative Republican voter.

This appears to be a redux of the "McCain Express" of the 2004 election. Has Rudy even declared himself a candidate yet?

I should add, I agree with malesherbes, IF Rudy is the R nominee, he gets my vote. My wishing for my ideal candidate does not include letting a dem occupy the WH in 2009.

If this SCUMBAG makes it to the general election as the R candidate, I will (a) stay home, or (b) write in Micky Mouse. Micky Mouse would be a better candidate than either of the presumptive front runners.

This Son-of-a-b**** should not even be running for DOG CATCHER, much less the presidency.

Hey, Julie, if your people are reading this .... SOFOD you PIECE OF SH*T!!!!!

The MSM are skilled at selling demons as angels of light.

Selling G as a conservative would likely be easier.

And, sadly, he is better than HARXIST--Gritch Shrillery.

If you want to compare Rudy with anyone, it should be Eisenhower. Among the candidates, he's the closest thing to a true war hero from a leadership standpoint, he's extremely likeable, and his political leanings aren't going to be an issue with most people.

I'm Irish and Italian so I guess a Giuliani/O'Bama combo would be my dream ticket! ;-)

Why we will all have to support Giuliani in the general election:
Because if we don't a pro-Islamic socialist traitor will become president.

Why we will all have to support Giuliani even before he gets nominated:
Because if we don't then he'll have to spend a lot of money to get the nomination that could be better spent winning the general election.

Why we must all get behind Giuliani right now:
Because any arguments amongst ourselves will be viewed by our opponents as a sign of weakness. And any dirt we dig up on him now will be used against him in the general election.

Thus sayeth the pragmatists...
i.e. the ones that gave us the 2006 debacle.

You really need to learn to open up to your feelings and let everyone around you know just where you stand.

BTW I agree with you 100%.

Not only did Dame Juli say that he'd support a womans 'right' to kill unborn children, he said he wants to force, and I do mean force, me to pay for it.

I am embracing the word Rino.

I am a foreign policy hawk.

I am a fiscal conservative.

I am a social moderate - I don't want the government telling me how to live my life. Get out of my house.

If those combined make me a RINO - I wear the name in comfort and will not shrink from defending it.

I want to elect a Leader; not a Manager. Rudy Leads. He led Arafat out of Lincoln center and put him effectively under Embassy arrest. That was an act of leadership based on principles that no other person running in either party can match. Then when assaulted with all of the sings and arrows of the Liberal media, State Dept, and not to Mention the bastion of thought the UN itself, He stood his ground in the face of these impotent bullies and they quickly backed down. Rudy stood head and shoulders above his detractors with that simple act of heroism.

Rudy’s managing of the 9/11 was just that; “Managing”. True, he performed in a heroic manner, none-the-less, he was doing his job. What he did that was heroic and showed strong leadership was when he told that Saudi Sheik to keep his $20M blood money. That was a leader talking.

I want a Leader in the War n terror. Tell me one other candidate who has shown such spontaneous and extraordinary leadership and I might start thinking about alternates to Rudy.

Thanks chopperman for the opportunity to bring into focus the “Leadership” issue that everyone seems to want to avoid talking about. Could it be that every other candidate stacks up small when it comes to a comparison to Rudy in this character facet??
