Just what ARE Rudy's qualifications that make him the "BEST man to lead as CIC?"

Just what ARE Rudy's qualifications that make him the "BEST man to lead as CIC?"

Please, I'd really like to know.

Do none of our other Republican candidates even compare to Rudy's superior military/war experience and knowledge?

...and that is your perogative, n00b.

Just as it is my perogative to focus on a candidates ability to lead and his likely commitment to the WOT.

"Huh? Didn't you just post that the Iraq war is a result of Bush's revenge against Saddam?

Yes, I did.

If that is a democrat talking point, then forgive my naivete' (spelling?). It was not meant with the intent to demean GWB.

Do you think GWB was lying about the reasons for going to war?

Is it true that Saddam intended to kill George Bush or not?

Not really relevant to this:

But Saddam attempted on GWB's life.

And GWB got his revenge.

Those are liberal talking points - "the reason Bush went into Iraq was for vengance on Saadam".

After reading some of your posts, I'm fairly certain you didn't mean it that way but that is the way it appears.

If I misunderstood your point, you have my apologies.

No, I don't think he was lying then nor do I think he's lying now.

It looks to me that you didn't get your question answered. But that didn't stop the Rudy fans from calling us "kool-aid drinkers" today.

He single handedly almost wiped out the crime of sitting on a milk crate.

In fact, you are right. I didn't mean that the reason for the war was to get revenge. Everyone knows that. And that is a big boo-boo on my part.

Because Rudy's an empty suit, and from what I can see about most of his supporters, they are trying to push the GOP left. They agree with him.

Well, there you go.

Osama Bin Laden so much as THINKS about sitting on a milk crate, and he's in serious trouble.

I answered it. But that does not mean the master of the site liked the answer. Sometimes one thinks that answers with which one disagrees with, are no answers at all, which of course is self indulgent. Gore still needs to lose about 40 pounds by the way. Apparently, he isn't spending his fortune on personal health clinics.

"I've never voted democrat in my life, nor do I spew democrat talking points. I understand that you may base this opinion on my early posts in Rudy threads. Well, I'm NOT a Rudy Bot, nor do I support him for CiC."

You posting history sure reads as a Rudybot. You were drinking doubles of that kool-aid since you signed up.

I think you asked 5-6 times at least to get on the Rudy ping list. I think you called it the band wagon.

You understand when you lie here you are going to be caught in it don't you?

More Democrats will vote for him than for a non-RINO.

That of course is your right and privilege. I am thinking of in due time in starting a permanent thread, to encourage folks to contribute $$$ to their candidate of choice. Yes, I will give the max to Rudy, which I think is $2,300, once I know he has really crossed the Rubicon, and is really running.

How much of your support is because you agree with him versus you think he's the most electable?

In the last pres race at this time, Dean's poll numbers were way higher than JFKerry. Going after the Cheers/Norm/Early poll name recognition is being a lemming.

Abortion: The systematic murdering of babies is an act of terrorism. They are totally defenseless and innocent victims and are deserving of someone who is willing to defend and rescue them. To me, the WOT includes the abortion industry and its supporters.

It is not a "lithmus test". Those young Americans have a constitutional right to life.

So, you want to throw women who seek abortions and the doctors who perform them in Guantanamo then?

A President isn't going to decree abortion as illegal. That is for the courts to decide (Roe v. Wade ring a bell?), or for Congress to pass laws on.

So, to me, having a 'litmus test' on abortion for a Presidential candidate is not so important to me. Give me a candidate with the ability to lead and who has demostrated success in a number fields over a candidate that simply agrees with me on abortion.

...and it is a 'litmus test'. I didn't coin the phrase, but it's been used extensively on this issue - usually regarding SCOTUS appointments.

I'm not pro-choice. I think abortion has degenerated to an atrocious state where it used all too often as another form of birth control.

That said, I can't say I would agree with forcing a woman to give birth to a child who was conceived after a brutal rape. I also wouldn't want to force a woman to give birth to a severely deformed child, or if giving birth was going to endanger her own life. I think there are a limited amount of scenarios where abortion is justified.

To you, I guess that makes me a terrorist sympathizer. I would say it makes me objective and reasonable.

the media took down Dean, under orders from the DNC. they realized that his candidacy in the general election, would attract the Dem base - and only the Dem base. and needless to say, their base alone cannot elect a president (neither can the republican base, alone). the initial stories of the Kerry "surge in the polls" was manufactured, and then took on momentum of its own.

Good question. I don't know, since I tend to agree with Rudy on most issue, and also think think he is the most eletable - in fact the only Pubbie electable. But I choose POTUS candidates for reasons that go beyond ideology. I parse their leadership qualities, their judgment, their temperament, their ability to articulate and persuade, their ability to unite the nation, and of course their position on core issues that really matter to me, which are about America's role in the world, the stewardship of its economy, their ability to persuade this great nation to do what must be done, to contain evil and give it strength to do that. I will not be deflected by side issues.
