Just what ARE Rudy's qualifications that make him the "BEST man to lead as CIC?"
Please, I'd really like to know.
Do none of our other Republican candidates even compare to Rudy's superior military/war experience and knowledge?
who made the laws and regulations regarding whether pilots could be armed? Rudy Giuliani?
We'll call it a tie!
LIBERALS LIKE RUDY...and FYI,,,pilots were authorized to be armed in previous administrations,,,,,
BUT,,,LIBERALS LIKE RUDY in the FAA would not allow it.

"He only supported gun controll so much because that was crucial in a city like New York "
He called for a nationwide "assault weapons" ban, more extensive than the one signed by clinton in 1994.
He called for nationwide handgun licensing. Presumably he'd want it as strict as NY city. Which means it would be next to impossible for law abiding citizens to buy or own a handgun.
He filed a junk lawsuit agains the gun industry, just like the brady bunch did.
Your claims are false.
And that my friend, is why you and others like you carry no weight whatsoever in this fight.
ping to the fun!
Yet, he consistently agrees with Hillary on almost every other issue. Did you know that until recently Clinton supported the war? It was personal with her too.
I've heard negative things about him personally, but I have never heard anything bad about how he conducted himself as a POW. I know many people who served with him, and one person who was a POW with him. I got my wings at McCain field, and many of the simulator instructors knew him. Also, I never heard anything bad about him at SERE school. I'd like to hear what you heard that would cause you to libel him like that. By the way, I'd never vote for him.
What makes him qualified to be Commander In Chief?
Don't you know, Oprah called him "America's Mayor."
What else do you need to know?
Get with the program!
Heh...heh...heh.
Good one.
In all honesty, Pres Bush didn't have a strong military background when he ran for office in 2000, and that was a huge issue which he had to confront before people thought he was a legitimate candidate. Its the same case with Rudy`s record. Right now, saying Rudy would make a good CIC, is really just a shot in the dark. Rudy was tough on crime. So if we apply the Clinton standard, that terrorism is a crime, maybe Rudy would do well. Hmmm.
Of all the major candidates, John McCain has the strongest military record and would probably make a decent CIC. His temperament is the bigger issue.
The top of my list of concerns for my family...
Yup. He's a REAL leader. A man among men.
I really don't think it is up to the President to plan a military strategy. I doubt Bush 'planned' much in either Afghanistan or Iraq. He does have final say on which plabn is to be implemented, so really it comes down to relying on advisors and such.
I think Rudy did a wonderful job cleaning up NYC, and tackling some of the crime issues the city faced. I also think he did a fine job leading and rallying his city after 9/11.
I could really care less about his views on abortion or other 'litmus test' issues that most conservatives against Rudy are touting. To me those are minor issues compared to the WOT and displaying an ability to lead and execute his vision.
Rudy looks to me to be a fine leader. I like the fact he is not from the 'Capitol Hill Crowd'.
Mitt Romney and Duncan Hunter haven't really shown me they are exceptional leaders. They seem to have quietly muddled their way thru Congress with no overwhelming leadership skills being displayed.
Of the remaining GOP candidates, the only other prospect that has shown an exceptional ability to lead would be Newt. He was a fine Speaker, and had a vision that was carried out succesfully.
Rudy is my guy, but I'd be pretty enthusiastic about Newt as well.
Hint: you can leave off anything in support of Rudy Giuliani. Those would not be conservative positions."
Ouch that's going to leave a mark!
Should be an interesting election for the Republican Party.
I'm sure before too long he'll be agreeing with Hillary on the war too. I have complete confidence that his underlying liberalism and political expediency will overcome any moral obligation he feels to continue the fight. After all, morality has never shaped his positions before.
