Rudy To Attend CPAC

I reported a piece last month about how Rudy and McCain were skipping some conservative conferences.  One of the events I mentioned that they had not yet RSVP'd to is the Grandaddy Of Them All -- the Conservative Political Action Conference or CPAC.

Turns out Rudy will attend CPAC.  He'll speak to the confab Friday.

YIKES! You are pulling a sleazy stunt scarily similar to one that got a poster permanently banned.

Oh, you might want to include the post made just a few posts down from that where I corrected myself

That is your MO, time again time again. Make a false statement, get called on it, correct it, and then act like your repeated false statements are hunky-dory because of it. Sometimes you even correct yourself and pretend you never made the initial false claim.

Just for the record, you didn't correct yourself, you changed the statement after its absurdity was pointed out by another poster.

As suggested by another poster, I suggest you google it yourself. I am not here to slander or negatively discuss anyones candidate, I am here to support mine. This is a Rudy post isnt it?

Ah, so since this is a Rudy thread, you can make allude to past false claims about Hunter? I guess you feel that there is a much lower threshhold of veracity required on Rudy threads.

...there are freepers on this thread who actually support a Republican you don't like.

A Republican?

"Most of Clinton's policies are very similar to most of mine." - Rudy Giuliani

Rudy has better things to do than grab cannons and knows that the abortion problem will never go away and is totally unsolveable with any law.

So why did Rudy go on record making pro-abortion statements and implementing pro-gun control policies then when he was Mayor.

I don't trust Rudy on the other issues considering the fact that he openly LIED and CONTRADICATED himself on abortion and REFUSES to understand that the 2nd Amendment is not for paint-ball shooting or hunting.

Peach,

Did you ever find any resolution to the objection you had to the traditional Catholic view of marriage? Or have you decided to remain an Episcopalian?

Can't find the original thread anymore.

While we're playing the link game, how about a link to the quotes where Giuliani's performance was called either the greatest fiscal or urban achievement of the 20th century.

I was in NYC before the Rudy years, and it was frightening. Out of control urban crime can't be allowed to escalate, just like out of control islamofascist violence can't be allowed to escalate. Cannons in Boone Hollow are probably just fine with Rudy. :)

You call a request for substantiated facts in support of an allegation "non-sequiteur rhetorical"? Apparently you still have a lot to learn.

Another stupidly false claim on your part. I didn't call your request for substantiated facts a "Non-sequiteur rhetorical".

It was your big dumb strawman fallacy response in post #107.

I can beat EEE. I won't vote for this Democrat in GOP clothing (drag) in the primary or the general. No way. No how.

I would have no problem voting for Rudy to be mayor of Tucson. He was a fine mayor of NY. But to have him as president is another animal.

I believe I heard you declare earlier that Presidents have little effect on the issue of abortion or gun control. That the matter should be left up to the individual states.

Yes, I did - but Rudy's judgement is in question here. He has been (and still is) openly pro-abortion and gun-control, and instead of simply admitting that he is, he tried to explain it away (he now says he "hates" abortion and would not pay for his daughter to have an abortion" and that the 2nd Amendment is for hunting) and refuses to own up to it. I'd actually would have had more respect for Rudy had he simply admitted he was wrong and recognizes that most Americans don't support gun-control or abortion and as President I wouldn't either, and pointed out that abortion and gay marriages should be decided in your respective state legislature. I'm not expecting a Jimmy Swaggart confession here, but it would have been nice if Giuliani would have moved to the right a little on these issues. His past statements are killing him, why couldn't he have just cleaned up the city instead of loudly proclaiming to be a pro-abortionist and gun-grabber. As Mayor he has no control over abortion so just STFU about it?

Yeah, he just revoked about 27,000 NYC carry permits from long term holders. Why grab cannons when you can grab legal handguns from well-vetted citizens?

I believe Rudy has always said that he hated abortion. Him paying and now not paying is a flip-flop, yes.
