That does not affect my opinion on Romney, which is merely that I haven't ruled him out.
I live in MA. I know people who have worked for him. In terms of back office administration, he's great. He took a bloated bureaucracy and persuaded liberals to reorganize and improve operational efficiency.
Politically, though, he did his best to hold back the tide against a Democratic legislature and still fell short. I may think he's a better choice than say, Tancredo or Newt, but I don't think he has what it takes to change a national course.
Osama Hussein,,I too cannot believe this. Just when I think I have caught up in cynicism, I find one just can't catch up. It is so "in your face" that it takes the breath away.
In the Dowd article, she asked Geffen if he was worried that he would not be invited to spend the nite in the Lincoln bedroom if Hillary is elected and he replied, that is okay, my bedroom is much nicer...lol...
Hoping for many more like them.
That, I think, is a real concern. But he is clearly one heck of a manager.
:-) Dennis Miller may be right. I am not just saying that because I love Dennis Miller. LOL
There were two scathing letters to the editor in the Austin paper (of course, it is very left wing), both talking about how two politicians were caught up in money scandals. The one had the (R) behind his name IN THE TITLE, and the other had no party affiliation mentioned.
Of course, I and many others had gone to the net, and found out this politician had a (D) behind his name. Both writers had the same question as to why that little detail was omitted. DUH!
Thanks for posting this. The preview posted by Phsspok and this one are my favorite FR sites. One comment about FNS. This was a good show when Tony Snow was host. Someone at FNC, Ailes?, decided that they needed a liberal host to compete with the other shows so they booted Tony and hired Wallace. I have read that under Wallace, the viewership has declined 30%. I only watch the second half hour to hear what Brit has to say. Juan and Mara are tolerable but I cannot stomach Kristal who is nothing but a mouthpiece for McCain.
Certainly in her pocket book.
It would be interesting if by getting in so early, she actually knocked herself out of the race.
Leave it to Democrats to want a war where nobody gets killed. It's kind of like their non-binding resolutions that have no meaning or consequences, and they don't have to show any accountability for their actions.
LOL
I wonder when white guilt will subside. What is the shelf life?
The more she speaks contemporaneously, the higher her negatives.
...Hillary = empty suit...
...Hussein Obama = smarter empty suit...
...Deadwards = really empty suit...
Who else is in this catfight race who "matters"?
Thanks, I was having fav.opinion of him than McCain, but his latest comment about Prez. was upsetting to me.
###### Deborah Orin Tribute! - Tony Snow announced the launch of a very generous general scholarship in honor of Deborah Orin who recently died of cancer. Two $5,000 tuition grants will be awarded to graduate journalism students entering the Medill School at Northwestern, Orins alma mater, and officials say it eventually will be an endowed scholarship. Donor is anonymous.
###### Paging Fitzgerald! - Los Angeles Times Outs CIA Agents.
###### Jumping from the Sinking ship - Chris Cramer, chief of CNN-International for over a decade quit from CNN aiming to Launch Online News Network. Also, Laurie Goldberg, senior vice president of public relations for CNN resigned.
###### McClatchy, a notoriously anti-Bushie news service and A Baghdad fairy tale. As they say, Proof is in the pudding.
###### Viacom's MTV Networks - sink in Ratings & Earnings..
###### Rules different...if you 're a demmie - When Bill Thomas, John Ashcroft, Dick Armey, Don Evans went to join private business firms, MSM attacked them as if they were committing a crime. But then when demmie Harold Ford Jr., suddenly becomes vice chairman and senior policy adviser at Merrill Lynch ($3 million a year salary), no-one in MSM ever care to even report much less to question his qualification for the job other than being a Jessie Jackson-lite.
###### Alan Colmes recently replaced Al Franken on Armed Forces Radio. Following Bill Sammon & Rowan Scarborough, Charlie Hurt this week left Washington Times to join The Washington Examiner as chief congressional correspondent.Kiran Chetry's comments (CNN is gold standard for news) cost Chris Knowles(her husband)'s weatherman -job @ Fox. Wash.Post's Metro section law enforcement Reporter Allan Lengel was transferred to real estate section. His crime? - He exposed(!) Rep. William Jefferson, the congressman whose freezer contained $90,000 in cash and wrote elaborately about that scandal.
###### How a Page 1 Mistake Was Made - Wash.Post ombuds(wo)man exposes how democrat Carl Levin's lies made way to it's "journalists" & ended up as front pager.
###### Nobles and Knaves - Victoria Toensing and Dana Priest.
###### Read 'em and sleep - Why American newspapers are dying.
###### Leftwing weekly magazine "The New Republic" - sells itself & becomes bi-weekly. It's circulation dipped to almost half since President Bush came to power.
###### Fox & Dummycrats - Get a clue, Fox!
###### Underreported/Unreported by MSM! - Harvard Business School, overwhelmingly supportive of the troops.
There has to be more to this story. It sounds like Geffen and the Clintons had a personal falling out.
