National upshot: Rudy's electoral vote position against Hillary is much stronger than Bush's against Kerry. Rudy puts almost the whole East into play and is significantly stronger in several target states in the Midwest and West. Hillary puts some states into play in the South but with many fewer electoral votes than Rudy does elsewhere. Even if you assume that Hillary is stronger against Rudy today than she was in July, the pairing does place the Republicans in a stronger position than Bush was in '04
PING
Let's get through the primaries before we play this scenario.
Here we go again............:)
Cottage cheese vs. the old salami stick.
I think you Rudybots should propose that the GOP nominate Hillary Clinton as their 2008 candidate. You will then have achieved your goal of getting behind a winning candidate. Which is, as you ENDLESSLY and TEDIOUSLY remind us, the only thing that could possibly matter.
If it is this case. I have got to hold my nose and vote for Rudy, because if I don't vote the same thing will happen that happened this past election. Speaker Pelosi crying Cheney was picking on her is enough. Can anybody think of a Hillary as president? Yucker!
Let's change the title to:
Crap Vs. Vomit
Same false choice.
Im pro-choice. Im pro-gay rights, Giuliani said. He was then asked whether he supports a ban on what critics call partial-birth abortions. No, I have not supported that, and I dont see my position on that changing, he responded. RUDY GIULIANI (R), FORMER MAYOR OF NEW YORK CITY: I'm pro- choice. I'm pro-gay rights.KING: Giuliani supports a woman's right to an abortion, and back in 1999, he opposed a federal ban on late-term abortions.
GIULIANI: No, I have not supported that, and I don't see my position on that changing.
KING: Immigration could be another presidential landmine. Back in 1996, Mayor Giuliani went to federal court to challenge new federal laws requiring the city to inform the federal government about illegal immigrants.
JEFFREY: He took the side of illegal immigrants in New York City against the Republican Congress.
KING: Giuliani opposes same-sex marriage but as mayor, he supported civil unions and extending health and other benefits to gay couples. He also supported the assault weapons ban and other gun control measures opposed by the National Rifle Association.
GIULIANI: I'm in favor of gun control. I'm pro-choice.
Republican Big-Wigs Support Pro-Abortion Event in NY
Pro-abortion Governor George Pataki and New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani, who also supports unrestricted abortion, are co-chairs of the 2000 Choice Award Presentation to be held on May 30 at the St. Regis Hotel in New York City. The event is sponsored by the Republican Pro-Choice Coalition, a group that is campaigning for the removal of the pro-life plank from the Republican National Platform.

His analysis shows why Rudy is such a strong candidate, the strongest, in fact, against Hillary.
The Dims are terrified of Rudy. They're desperate and don't know how to deal with a candidate like Rudy, so they try and smear him and trick voters into hating him.
If Rudy is the best candidate who can keep Her Heinous, Queen Hillary from claiming her throne, so be it.
STOP HILLARY NOW!
Hillary is hated by a large percentage of the American electorate. Literally hated, and IMO, for good reason.
Rudy, on the other hand is admired from both sides, and even though he doesn't come in as a gold star conservative would pull a lot of votes from the "anyone but Hillary" voters.
Obama would have a better chance then Hillary.
My @ss.
NOT in the SOUTHeast(or SOUTHWEST, or much of the WEST, or flyover country).
Liberal northeastern elitist RINOs do NOT make the vast majority of Conservative Southeastern voters want to run out and support or vote for them, ESPECIALLY when they're gun-grabbibng, abortion-supporting maggots like RINO-rudy.
