I don't think anyone is hell-bent on running Rudy. They want someone in the race that has an excellent chance to stomp the witch and all her evilness; and, also, to be able to raise the needed funds. And, so far, that is where Rudy comes in.

Who is your candidate of choice that you feel can win and, also, get the $$$ to run a successful campaign?

Ya could have fooled me with all the pro-Rudy threads posted lately on FR.

I think Rudy has the ability to raise funds. I don't think he has any chance of winning the general.

Who is your candidate of choice that you feel can win and, also, get the $$$ to run a successful campaign?

I guess you missed my tagline.

"Diss"? How so? By not agreeing with your positions accross the board?

Nominees don't split parties. Members who hold views that a majority in the party don't completely agree with split parties by throwing hissy fits

Here is the ringer in the race -- some of the large states are now moving up their primaries -- CA wants to move to 5 Feb which would put them in the driver's seat.

Iowa, NH, and SC are no longer the 800 lb gorilla in the primaries IMO.

Well, according to polls so far, he has the #1 chance.

you're right, I did miss you tagline. I read up on him, I like him but so far he is not only low in the polls, I'm not sure he can raise the funds. It's still early; hopefully, I'm wrong.

Don't you think if Duncan was in the #1 spot as Rudy is now and we knew he could get the funds, there would be more threads on him than Rudy?

How about not agreeing with a wide range of social conservative positions?

You are a fool. And fools and majorities are soon parted.

You threaten to damage the party you claim to be a member of
unless your views are adopted by others.

You're far worse than a fool...

You are apparently a charter member of the Han Solo ("It's not my fault!") wing of the GOP. No matter how bad the leadership screws up, it's the fault of the voters. Never theirs.

Go tell someone who doesn't know better.

This is good news if one's only goal is to defeat Hillary. Sadly, flyover country lacks representation due to less-dense population. Cities rule, counties drool.

Let's see, taxation without representation....'bout the only way to seperate ourselves from rampant liberalism/socialism/facsism is to either secede or throw a lot of tea into some harbor.

You're from the "I'm the mojority even if i'm the minority" wing...otherwise known as the crackpots.

It's a real simple process. You become a member of a party. That party nominates the person most members of the party want to nominate.

If you and the folks who think like you can't muster enough support to nominate someone who thinks like you or exert enough influence over the nominee to convince him or her to adopt your positions, you have two real choices... Stay loyal to the party or leave.

If you "social conservatives" feel that the GOP has deserted you then take the hint and go off on your own with a third party. You won't do that of course. You understand that you would be a permanent, powerless minority wandering the political wilderness with the libertarians, constitution party, green party and other philosphically narrow groups.

Fact is...you need the GOP as much or more than the GOP needs you. So..this talk of staying home to "teach" the party something is ultimately an ugly, self defeating manuever. You don't win by losing...you just lose

That's a good one. The GOP seeks to run Rudy who is anethema to just about everything I believe in.

But I need them more than they need me.

I don't think it matters if California moves ahead of Iowa, the wildcard in the RAT-race is Algore. I still think he's going to jump in, as early as next week if that moronic movie of his wins an Oscar tomorrow night(which it probably will, given Hollywierd's political leanings). The far left has been pushing him, and in his own mind, he's thinking he can pull off a Nixon comeback. And don't forget that he and Tipper both have no love for Her Heinousness.

That could be one of the funniest races -- Gore versus Ms. Clinton. Probably get nasty very fast!

Has Gore lost weight or is he still his chubby self like the last time I saw him?

You will find out tomorrow evening, whether or not Gore is in fighting trim. My bet, is not, but if he is, than he is lean and hungry.

That means I will be watching the Oscars to see if he lost weight and the Oscar! I will have my mute button ready.

Someone said on a blog they thought he would announce for President tomorrow night! I wouldn't want to be in the same room with Ms. Clinton if he does! :)

Algore vs. Hitlery will be a riot! Stock up on the popcorn and beer(or whatever beverage you prefer) for the debates because it will be a RAT bloodbath.

As Torie said, we'll see tomorrow night as he accepts the award for "An Inconvenient Lie" whether or not he's in fighting trim, but my bet is that he's getting there. After the sniping between Her Heinousness and Osama Obama these past couple of weeks, he has to smell blood in the water...

Gore was a very good actor in his flick. His intonations were really quite effective. Amazing really. The flick was also very well written and edited. Frightening. All that ice disappearing from Mt. Kilimanjaro. Where or where will one be able to ski in Africa, that is the question. Only Gore knows how to save that venue for that outdoor recreation.

People nagged me for over a year after Dubya was inaugurated to change my handle. I refused for the simple reason I knew he would be back, and I really think he will, as soon as tomorrow night. Edwards is a joke. Obama is a clueless liberal, Hitlery is a closet Communist, but Algore is totally insane.
