Yep. The dems are trying to pull an ARVN with the Iraqi police and military; "They're corrupt, they're lazy, they're not worth supporting, so let's just cut their legs out from under them and abandon them."
They did it with Nationalist China, they did it with South Vietnam, and now they're trying to do it with Iraq (I'm still wondering why they didn't do it with South Korea though).
That is a very interesting question. I hadn't thought about that.
