"I wonder why his picture isn't on TV with the story. What is the media hiding?"

Take a look at the picture of his wife and you will have your answer.

That may well be. Sooner or later there should be a picture, but MSM is still ducking the issue.

Missing headlines (a continuing series)

"Clarice Feldman Charles Rust-Tierney,the former President of the Virginia chapter of the ACLU ,is arrested for possession of very graphic and disturbing child pornography.

He is a very prominent figure in the Washington D.C. area. Where does the story appear? Page B05 of the Washington Post in the Virginia Briefing section as a two paragraph arrest notice. On the front page is a story about victims of priest molestation."

Put the perverted freak in the general population of any prison and let the inmates have their ways with him.

Let him stew for a week, then send in a few Liberals to clean up the remains.

Rope, millstone, sea.

Yes, better that, than to be in the hands of an angry God.

Diann Rust-Tierney
ACLU Capital Punishment Project

"What bothers me the most is the arrogance of the state taking a life. The state did not give this human being a life, so it’s crossing the boundaries to take life away." – Diann Rust-Tierney

she met another Vista volunteer, Charles Tierney. They married and attended law school in the Washington, D.C., area, where they live now with their two children and where Tierney is a member of the public defender’s office.

"It’s hard, when the facts are so much on your side – race, poverty, and bad lawyers lead many people to death row.

Rust-Tierney thinks people are beginning to recognize the double standard between rich and poor. Many Americans cannot afford to hire good lawyers, yet hiring strong counsel can and does save lives.

"We are entering into a new discussion about cycles of violence. Do we address violence by imposing more violence? Victims are coming forward saying this isn’t what we’re about. People are making distinctions – between types of crimes and various punishments. We’re discussing who we are as a nation. It’s a prime moment for holding up this institution, the death penalty, against our value system. We’re going to stick to our values, to the things that make us great. We need to get back on course, get back to perfecting our democracy."

Charles Rust-Tierney, a coach of Virginia children’s sports teams and former president of the state chapter of the ACLU, was arrested in Arlington on a warrant for the possession of child pornography. The 51-year-old Rust-Tierney was not represented by counsel when he appeared in Federal court in Alexandria Virginia on February 23 to answer the charges. Another hearing is slated for February 28.

According to a federal criminal complaint, Rust-Tierney had used his email address and credit card for a subscription and access to a child pornography website. According to the criminal complaint, Rust-Tierney has subscribed to multiple child pornography websites over a period of years.

As recently as October 2006, the child coach purchased access to hard-core child pornography websites. According to a Federal affidavit, Rust-Tierney has admitted to downloading child pornography to his computer and storing it on a CD-ROM.

Virginia's Former ACLU President ...Closet Pedophile?

An advocate for unrestricted use of the Internet's resources in public libraries, Virgina chapter's ACLU president Charles Rust-Tierney, has been arrested for possession of child pornography.

Although Rust-Tierney has been involved with coaching youth activities in Virginia, Federal investigators have been tracking the use of Tierney's credit card and website porn habits over a period of years.

The big problem is the heinous nature of what he's in to: forceable gang rape video of pre-teens girls. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for Wednesday, February 28.

Mr. Rust-Tierney also argued that parents should have the primary responsibility for setting rules for their children regarding Internet access, and that "older minors should have access to resources appropriate for their age group, even if such materials may be considered by some parents to be unsuitable for younger minors."

His arguments were in response to a ruling in a pending case by U.S. District Judge Leonie M. Brinkema in Virginia who said the Loudoun County Internet policy violated the First Amendment.

"Regardless of any future proceedings related to that litigation, the ACLU of Virginia urges the board to carefully consider a new Internet use policy that allows for maximum Internet access while providing options to parents and other users who may be concerned about unwanted content."

Mr. Rust-Tierney's wife, Diann Rust-Tierney, is executive director of the D.C.-based National Coalition to Abolish the Death Penalty.

There are people who would find that to be a worse crime than child porn.

And there are people who think that the Earth is flat. So what's your point?

I've got a C-note that says this pervert is now or will be tucked away in some plush rehab facility by Sunday.

Of course we know the drill for left/media from that point on......He was sick, now he is not only sorry but cured.....end of story.

As to your question, "Why ICE"? ICE, Customs, Dept. of Justice, US Postal Service, and state anti-Child Pornagraphy units have formed a national/international task force to track down porn coming into the US from abroad, esp. Scandinavia, Europe, and parts of Asia.
Hearings on these enforcement operations were held last year and I wrote a column about them at the old www.augustafreepress.com, now www.thenewdominion.com.
It was entitled "Slimey Stupak" and dealt with how this former policeman/Democratic congressman, tried to derail a House committee hearing on pornagraphy because he couldn't take cheap shots at the Attorney General and other Bush officials.

The internet comes under several different jurisdictions esp. when pornagraphy is sent from outside of the country over it. The Postal Service and Customs has jurisdiction over physical porn coming into the country in the mail or disguised as "cargo."

Hope this helps to answer your question.

"But what about Bush's human right's abuse record at G'itmo, Abu Ghraib, etc., etc."

What *I* found extremely telling was Bill O'Reilly's description of the material as "three Tibetan girls being violently raped..." If this is so, three guesses as to the ethnicity, and profession of the rapists, and the first two don't count. Which means the proper rebuttal would be "What about the human rights abuse record of the People's Liberation Army of China?"

Start with this post of mine in answer to another poster's question, and track the exchange down thread.

I believe that this kind of thing will be the flash point where we will first see American patriots going past the "breaking point".

At this juncture, my only real question is, "When it all hits the fan, whose side will the U. S. Government be on?"
