DEMANDS for a ban on “un-Islamic” activities in schools will be set out by the Muslim Council of Britain today.
Targets include playground games, swimming lessons, school plays, parents’ evenings and even vaccinations.
And the calls for all children to be taught in Taliban-style conditions will be launched with the help of a senior Government education adviser.
Professor Tim Brighouse, chief adviser to London schools, was due to attend the event at the capital’s biggest mosque.
His presence there was seen as “deeply worrying”, and a sign that the report was backed by the Government.
Tory MP Greg Hands said: “The MCB needs to realise it has to move closer to the rest of the community, not away from it.
“The presence of Tim Brighouse implies Government backing of this report. This is very worrying.”
Terry Sanderson of the National Secular Society said the report was a “recipe for disaster”.
He added: “Schools with even just a handful of Muslim kids will find they have to follow these guidelines because there aren’t the staff to have one set of classes for Muslims and another for the rest.
“The MCB shouldn’t try to force its religious agenda on children who may not want it. The Government needs to send the MCB packing. Schools should be about teaching, not preaching.”
The report, Towards Greater Understanding – Meeting The Needs of Muslim Pupils In State Schools, says all schools should bring in effective bans for all pupils on “un-Islamic activities” like dance classes.

The UK's socialism is, I believe, a premonition of what we can expect here in the United States if we don't fight back this flood of liberalism taking over our country.

Don't let that be comfort for you. A couple of years ago some ultra libs in the medical community in Scotland called for a ban on knives to include some kitchen knives. Everyone, even the Scots, made fun of them.
Now, toting a knife around in Scotland is a serious offense punishable with imprisonment.
For the socialists and their bed-buddies the Islamists, it's all about baby steps. Announce it, let people get all their shouting and foot stamping over with, then enact the legislation.
I believe a ban on criticism of Islam was toppled, when even Rowan Atkinson (Mr. Bean) came out against it. It's not as bad as it seems. Such measures would almost certainly create a furor not seen before.
Good summary. I wouldn't be surprised in the least to see this go through in Britain - or in the US, eventually.

I know plenty of Muslims who would oppose this kind of thing heart and soul over here. That kind of crap is exactly what they came to America to get away from. The fact that a Muslim org can propose that kind of thing over there without a Muslim backlash suggest that things are already very different there.

You'd be suprised how many little, and big spots like yours there ARE! Don't believe what the ENEMEDIA is "reporting". They LIE!
To hear this about a country that (for all intents and purposes) once ruled the world. A country that fought off the scourge of Nazism. From a country that spawned the likes of Churchill and Thatcher … being taken over by a religious cult unopposed by spineless leaders, bothers me no end.
