That is is and it also used to be against posting rule, for EVERYONE, though that has apparently changed, to bait, flame, and personally attack other posters; which IS actually written under the box everyone uses to post a reply with.

For you see, the standard by which you judge is the one that shall be applied to you. And also to you.

I suspect the evolution folks would like to see creationists gone, and vice versa. The Terri Schiavo factions would like to see the other side gone. You've been here long enough to know that substantial numbers left during both of those episodes.
And the fact remains that 1) several Rudy supporters have been banned in recent weeks, 2) others have been threatened with banning, 3) people have been mashing abuse left and right on Rudy supporters and 4) management has clearly made it known what is thought of our opinion. That's all verifiable.

It's common courtesy. Yes, and so is saluting the executive officer of the ship. I refused to salute mine, as he never once returned the salute. Once asked byt he captain why, I explained. The XO got his butt chewed, not me.
Common courtesies are for those who deserve them. I will grant them until the same is not returned or is no longer deserved. Fair enough?

Common courtesies are for those who deserve them. Well, that's not the way I was raised here in the South. But if that's the way you see it, then so be it.
Bless your heart.

And the fact remains that 1) several Rudy supporters have been banned in recent weeks, 2) others have been threatened with banning, 3) people have been mashing abuse left and right on Rudy supporters and 4) management has clearly made it known what is thought of our opinion. Let's take these one at a time...
1) Yes - for bad behavior. Not for supporting Giuliani. I was involved in at least one argument with a person who was obviously a troll, and who also supported partial birth abortion. They were banned...no loss to the forum.
2) Again, for bad behavior. I know of at least one person who should have been banned long ago for their bad behavior, who has now been threatened with banning. The critical distinction is that it isn't because of their support for Rudy, but rather due to their behavior.
3) And has Jim reacted? Not that I've noticed, other than to bad behavior. In fact he's shown admirable restraint.
4) I can't argue with you there, but it shouldn't come as a surprise that a conservative forum is supporting the most conservative candidate. I think you have to expect that actively supporting the most liberal candidate (or at least one of the top two) is going to get you some flak.

(Still waiting for the best conservative candidate.)
To: Delphinium
Ahhhhhhhhhh, but I
AM A Conservative and have been on far longer than most people who claim that I am not one. I have also answer those, ALL of then, who have asked me if I am one/accused me of NOT being one.
And continually repeating that query and/or stating that I am not a Conservative might make you and your ilk feel superior, better, or whatever else it may do; it still doesn't change the fact that I am one.
To: PhiKapMom
A lot of Freepers don't understand that standing on principle over reality sometimes can cost this Nation dearly, and we are seeing it play out now in Congress. To allow any one issue to keep someone from voting or throwing a temper tantrum and voting for a Dem that says one thing and does another is dumb. That 2006 lesson won't be forgotten by long time activists like me and why I am less than inclined to listen to a group of people that have been bashing Republican office holders for as long as I can remember on here. I understand your inclination, but nevertheless if we nominate a "centrist" there are going to be consequences. We can call the people who will stay home all sorts of names and complain about how foolhardy their actions are, but ultimately the impact shouldn't be ignored. I find it akin to a business complaining about how dumb customers are because they won't buy its product, never considering the fact that the product might be subpar.
I am not whining but it sure is fun to make fun of those that run to a mod if they don't get their way.
Can't argue with you there...

(Just say NO to Rudy "Tootsie" Giuliani-GO Duncan Hunter 08:))
To: Corin Stormhands; texastoo
Oh hey........everyone, except the ones posts them, feels that way already; however, the poster is talking about the MSM, I think.
texastoo.............the MSM won't use those pictures against Rudy, when he is the GOP candidate and neither will his opponent. They all know WHY he was dressed that way and it isn't something that a whole lot of them haven't also done, at one time or another.
To: Luke21
I know, it fun, especially when it's cold out.
One thing I like is that those who I have always suspected were and now exposing themselves as the liberals they really are.
To: Luke21
I take that back, I don't like them being liberal at all.
To: Delphinium
I am a CONSERVATIVE; therefore, there is no reason for me to claim otherwise.
If you have always voted to the GOP presidential candidate, then obviously you really don't "vote principles over party"; now do you?
Thanks for the reply.
To: La Enchiladita
Social conservatism. Fiscal conservatism. Judicial conservatism. Fidelity to the Constitution, the Rights of the Sovereign People, and the rule of Law.
They all work together to make for a free society. Its very hard to have one without the other.
