FReep this poll: Giuliani vs Duncan Hunter:
http://www.freerepublic.com/perl/poll?poll=173
Just another in a long list of COLHfG's - Cranky Old Liberal Hags for Giuliani.
But, you weren't here when those debates were taking place, were you? Peach was and she (and several of us) recognize and remember the screen names and the arguments.
And, before you go running off to check my sign up date, check FReeper "Ward Smythe" my prior (but not original) screen name. I switched (with Jim's assistance) in 2002.
Does Captain Obvious have to come and hit you with a pie in the face before you listen to your candidates own words?
I like and respect you, but you don't have a dog (or a vote) in this hunt :^)
You'd look a lot less silly if you'd read the actual quote before you post.
I would wager a guess that the purpose of this "poll" is to gauge the amount of support for Rudy Giuliani on FR. What with the number of capricious bannings of people here who have voiced their support for Rudy, I suspect that the Powers That Be want to measure how broad Rudy's support is on FR before they completely wipe all of us from the rolls. Can FR survive if it eliminates 25% of its active members? Probably not. But the Powers That Be will have to decide that.
Zaza? Which one was she?
Was she the one on Greene Akers?
You might want to ask the good Captain to pick you up a copy of the actual quote on his way over here to whack My GOP.
Be honest, it's not the support for Rudy that got them banned, it's the manner in which that 'support' was conducted.
Oh, I see, the non-Hispanic called me "stupid", not homosexual. It is true, you Duncan Donut supporters are absolutely nasty.
I'll take door # 4.
My internet phone line has been down for days, just got it back about 30 minutes or so ago.
OMG ROTFLMAO!
Dig deeper you might even find something nastier. good grief you all need to grow a thicker skin or grow up. noone is being nasty to you. he said your comment was GAY, not you.
I dont think ive been nasty to anyone. quit painting with a broad brush.
Pat Toomey is also rooting for Romney. He's not exactly a purely unbiased source.
LOL Id be freaking out!
Pretty much the same old arguments. same old allegations.
Duncan did get more endorsements/help on his campaign and anne called him "magnificent" so thats all good:-)
This thread i think is on its last leg. Perhaps someone will start a saterday morning/afternoon fun thread!
I can only handle so much of these when they turn into elementry school tattling and whining. I never even took that from my son when he was little LOL
How did you survive? If my computer shut down for a few days id probally be in shock, though im bettin id get alot more done around here :-O
p.s. - telling someone their comment is STUPID is nasty in my book.
Yes the rudy folks!
calling someone a homophobe and a bigot are pretty harsh too.
the way i see it, the folks that want to sling mud will and those that dont, wont.
As far as I can see the slinging goes all ways. im sick of the rudy folks pretending its all one sided. its not.
I would rather someone poke fun of my post, then call me a bigot.
I laughed when i saw his response-not because i thought it was nasty, or bigotted, but I assumed that he must have teenagers in the house.
i dont think it was meant to be nasty so much as just being a smarty pants.
But im sure he can stick up for himself.
BTW Dont try and drag me into your little mud wrestling match. im not intested.
have a nice day:-)
It's no secret that Jim Robinson does not like Rudy Giuliani. And it's no secret that he creates and conducts the polls.
Is he interested in purging 25% of his membership? I guess you'd have to ask him directly, but I'll bet you whatever amount you can afford that he's not.
I think the underlying argument between Duncan supporters and Rudy supporters is silly because I don't think there's any way for Duncan to become a frontrunner. It would require a MASSIVE infusion of cash to his campaign to even get him name recognition.
And that's just the start. He's not known as a little government guy, or fiscal conservative. He's wrong on trade policy. He's not particularly charismatic. Other than that, he has a good voting record on most issues that matter to conservatives. He probably would make a fine President.
Would I vote for him in the general election? Hell, yes. But I'm quite sure I'll not get that opportunity.
And I suppose the vitriolic and hateful way in which most of you guys conduct yourself on these threads is what secures your position here?
