Do you think Ted Olsen is a liar then because Mr. Olsen said that Rudy has always supported strict constructionist, even back in the 1980s when they both worked in the REAGAN Justice Department. Rudy is no liar. He says what he means. If he wanted to lie he would just say he had a conversion on abortion. He won't though because he believes in being straight forward and truthful. And I surely don't think Ted Olsen would lie.

President Bush the younger is a "RINO"? How about Cheney and Rummy...them too?
And YOU joined FR in 2005, so unless you are a retread, you need to stop trying to talk about FR history; YOU WEREN'T HERE!

Well I WAS here and Keyes and Pat Buchanan were the TOP 2, back then. LOL
Things have changed since then. For one thing, the alternatives to Keyes and Buchanan were not that bad. The alternatives so far for 2008 are beyond horrible.
That said, with all due respect to Mr. Buchanan and Dr. Keyes, Duncan Hunter is 10x the candidate either of them could ever hope to have been. He's won and held elective office. He doesn't have to explain away lack of military service. He's a self-made man, an expert on defense and border issues, and a solid conservative.
All Keyes and Buchanan had were principles, passion and oratorical skills--not enough to close the deal.

With a membership roll of 200,000 or more, having less than 2,000 votes, on a FR poll, is meaningless. And yes, I would still say that if the results were different.
To: My GOP
You are correct; he can NOT do that. But, sadly, far too few people appear to know that.

Sadly, far too many people on here appear to know anything about politics and winning elections.

Are you thinking about replying that I want you to abandon Hunter? That I'm trying to pull you away from Hunter? C'mon! Tell the truth!! That's what you were about to do, right? Why on earth aren't you supporting Rudy???

Then it holds even MORE true, if you are talking about what's on in "inside" of both of you.
And what happened to your manners, EV?
Never mind, I added 68grunt in MY header.

Well, he's already basically lied on abortion. Back in the 1990s, Rudy claimed to be so in favor of abortion that he would pay for his own daughter to have one. Now, amazingly, he said this just last week:
"I'd advise my daughter or anyone else not to have an abortion," Giuliani said. "I'd like to see it ended, but ultimately I believe that a woman has the right to choose.

And how, pray tell, do you win an election by splitting a political party wide open?

Actually, getting stories from him was like pullin' teeth. He did have 3 DFC's at the end of it. Flew in Korea and Vietnam, too. He'd be supporting Duncan Hunter.
