"I got to know President Reagan in 1976 when, as a freshman congressman, I was one of only four members of that body to endorse then-Governor Reagan’s primary challenge to President Gerald Ford. I had the privilege of serving as the leader of President Reagan’s Texas delegation at the Republican convention of 1976, where Ronald Reagan almost defeated an incumbent president for his party’s nomination. I was one of the millions attracted to Ronald Reagan by his strong support for limited government and the free-market. I felt affinity for a politician who based his conservative philosophy on '...a desire for less government interference or less centralized authority or more individual freedom.' I wish more of today’s conservative leaders based their philosophy on a desire for less government and more freedom." – Ron Paul, Remembering Ronald Reagan

I like Ron Paul but I think he's seriously wrong on the war in Iraq.

Ron Paul is a cut and run coward. He turned his back on the troops. When the going got tough, Ron left the troops without his support. Shameful. Ron Paul voted against the Iraq War Resolution authorizing force be used against Saddam. If Ronny the coward had his way, Saddam would stil be in power today to murder and rape the innocent. That is Ron Paul.

Is this:

>>>The ruling government of Iraq is dominated by the psychopathic gang of murderers known as the Supreme Council for the Islamic Revolution in Iraq (SCIRI) and the Islamic Al Dawa Party, who are the very same Islamic Terrorist Parties which bombed the US & French Embassies in Kuwait and murdered 241 United States Marines in Beirut in 1983. Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki, of the Al Dawa Party, was the Al Dawa bureau chief in Damascus in the 1980s and was thus heavily responsible for Al Dawa operations in Beirut, while parliament member Jamal Jafaar Mohammed of his ruling coalition is one of the "Kuwait 17", still under a Kuwaiti death sentence (in absentia) for his direct involvement in the vicious attack on the US Embassy in Kuwait! Ron Paul is the ONLY candidate calling for an immediate END to all Military and Financial support for the criminal Islamic Terrorist thug-regime of Iraq.<<<<<

Sourced by you or Ron Paul?

Ron Paul actively fights unConstitutional legislation. It's amazing that he is the exception rather than the rule.

Setting aside the fact that the non-binding resolution Ron Paul supported was
1) proposed and supported by liberal democrats,
2) intended to weaken the Commander-In-Chief of our armed forces and
3) served only to send a demoralizing message to our troops and telegraph lack of confidence and willpower to our enemies ...
please consider that a "NON-BINDING" resolution is exactly that - a waste of time, resources and taxpayer's money!

Conservatives are elected to do something - not vote for "non-binding resolutions" that by definition, do nothing (other than # 2 and # 3 above).

No "taxpayer's friend" wastes time and taxpayer's money on "non-binding resolutions" whatever the ultimate reason.

Ron Paul has become a bad joke and a patsy for the democrats.

Paul consistently ranks at or near the top of NTU’s scorecard in terms of his pro-taxpayer votes.

Yeah, but it's not like the Dims or even the Republicans are running for the honor, eh?

I'm very dissatisfied with the GOP's abandonment of smaller government and balanced budgets. Say what you will about Newt, he made real headway there where Reagan could not. It was a great legacy for Gingrinch until that guy from Texas moved into the White House and led us down the big-spending path to the minority party.

I like Paul on fiscal issues. I'm keeping an eye on Hunter (not so good on pork barreling) and Romney (decent record so far but that health care plan is troubling even in a Dim state and even though he avoided the employer mandates that The Arnold is going to decree).

I don't want to sound wishy-washy but my own primary comes late and I worry that NJ and CA will move up their primary. I may essentially get only a primary vote that would mean voting McStain or Romney to stop Giuliani.

I'm hoping to vote Ron Paul and I hope he goes all the way to the general election, on any available national ballot. But I am especially afraid of Giuliani becoming our nominee. Admittedly, I don't like it when my picks in the primary come down to who can stop Giuliani. Especially when so many GOPers are picking Giuliani because they claim she can beat Hitlery. Well, I'm still trying to sort all this out. Good thing I have a lot of time. And starting so early will give Giuliani plenty of time to explode and for us to expose him.

I really like that list you've started on Ron Paul. Given his many stands over the years for privacy and liberty, it could be much longer. He is a dream candidate for conservatives and libertarians of all stripes.

If a Pro-Life, Pro 2nd Ammendment, combat veteran, Reagan Conservative can't get support in a Presidential election where the opponents are Hillary "trail-of-dead-staffers-Clinton and a junior Senator with Hussein in his name...

Then there's no hope for the candy ass Republican party anymore...glad I left 10 years ago.
