Half of young children are anxious about the effects of global warming, often losing sleep because of their concern, according to a new report today.
A survey of 1,150 youngsters aged between seven and 11 found that one in four blamed politicians for the problems of climate change.
Are you doing enough?
One in seven of those questioned by supermarket giant Somerfield said their own parents were not doing enough to improve the environment.
Advert: article continues below É The most feared consequences of global warming included poor health, the possible submergence of entire countries and the welfare of animals.
Most of those polled understood the benefits of recycling, although one in 10 thought the issue was linked to riding a bike.
Pete Williams, of Somerfield, said: "Concerns over our environment dominate the media at present and kids are exposed to the hard facts as much as anybody.
"While many adults may look the other way, this study should show that global warming is not only hurting the children of the future, it's affecting the welfare of kids now.
"By raising awareness amongst today's young, hopefully we are improving our chances of reaching a solution.''
The study marked Somerfield's drive to reduce the eight billion plastic bags wasted by UK households every year.
When Ronnie moved tose missiles into Europe in the 80's i wasw with those missiles in Europe. What a great time that was.

Ah yes, get the children to turn on thier own parents.
"By raising awareness amongst today's young, hopefully we are improving our chances of reaching a solution."
And what kind of solution would that be? Maybe a Final Solution, for all of us not believers?
They'd better not try this sh*t at our local Safeway.
That little turd can age for about 10 more years, then try to burn my car, or bring his socialist revolution to my door step... we'll see who wins.
you can blame the teachers as well
I agree. Kids that age are very impressionable and vulnerable. It's hard enough growing up without having one's head filled with scary propaganda.
What an unpleasant little larva. His facial expressions remind me of AlGore.
Thanks for posting that. If the comments on youtube are any indication, this ad is going to backfire tremendously.
I didn't bother with the drivel that the boy was spouting by rote. I was looking at his decidedly unhealthy appearance. The boy has dark rings under his eyes and a sickly pallor to his skin. Go Vegan!
I told my son about this and he says "it's true I lie awake at night worrying about how the penguins are coping".
(well, he is my son)
I can see the conversation now...
Herakles: "When was the last time a sea turtle was spotted in Pittsburgh?"
Liberal School Board: "Exactly!"

Kids are being force fed global warming in the UK, Canadian, and U.S. schools, and one of the goals of the communist party is to destroy a child's allegiance to his family.

Media? Media? Kids are being fed the global warming religion and earth worship every day in their government schools.
Want to guess who is scaring our kids now?
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Answer: The useful idiots running government schools.
"Bling Bling Escalade"
What is this about? I've seen this elsewhere and I have no idea what it means.
When I was in elementary school in the 60's they had us hiding under our desks for nuclear bomb blast drills. I can't remember ever losing a night's sleep because I was afraid I was going to die and I was a super sensitive kid.
But then, I had parents who taught me that I and the world were in God's hands and death was not an end, but a beginning of eternity with all of those that I loved and it was nothing to be feared.
Liberals hold back with fear, while conservatives go forward with hope.
"Sleepless in Berkley" perhaps, but my kids sleep just fine.
