Thune throws support behind McCain

http://www.argusleader.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20070220/NEWS02/702200332/1001/NEWS

Sen. John Thune of South Dakota will support John McCain's presidential bid, giving the Arizona senator a key endorsement from the conservative end of the Republican party.

===

No, I don't think Rudy would pick Thune.

GO away EV; your political "expertise" exists only in your own mind.

No, I think I'll stay here to torment you, nopardons.

I love the 22 months out name recognition polls.

You'd think This place would have learned it's lesson with polls after years and years of seeing them being spun or complete BS. But every time a poll comes out, it's news!

Do yourself a favor and learn the facts about Hillary and Rudy, before you post something that silly again.

Another demonstration that you don't understand reality.

You aren't "tormenting" nopardons, you are merely providing occasional mild entertainment, the way a mechanical mouse amuses a cat.

I don't think it would matter. Giuliani would still consider him. I don't think he holds grudges.

Anyhow, I don't actually have anything against any of the three big guys. They all have their strengths and weaknesses. I only dislike people who are clearly not serious trying to pretend to be serious (Paul, Hunter, etc.)

Not only are you wearing far too much tindfoil, you've managed to wrap it too tightly around your head and cut of the blood supply.

You appear to be unable to tell reality from absurd conspiracy theories.

At the very least, Thune is showing bad judgment in supporting McCain.

: shrug : McCain is more Conservative then Rudy. I don't think he'd be as effective as a President, but I don't think it's bad judgment per-se.

If he endorsed Ron Paul, THAT would be bad judgment.

Sadly, you are correct about Jeb.

I'd LOVE to see Haley as Rudy's VEEP, but would consider Pawlenty an okay match.

McCain pushed through the "finance reform" limiting free speech, he put together the gang of 14 that blocked the Republicans from using the constitutional option for the juges, he pushed throught the terrorist protection bill, giving the terrorists protection of the US Constitution that is only supposed to be afforded to US citizens, and even forbade "degrading" treatment of the terrorists -- better million of innocent US citizen be blown up by a nuke, than "degrade" a terrorist by putting panties on their head.

McCain is also completely mentally unstable.

And the above is just the tip of the iceberg.

I had respect for Thune, until he endorsed McCain.

And why should Rudy pick Thune, who not only endorses a rival, but endorses McCain, when there are plenty of other decent conservatives to choose from. Thune shot himself in the foot wiht his endorsement of McC and he will just have to live with the conserquences.
