Then stay, you're good for some giggles and you NEVER "torment" me. I sometimes feel sorry for you, though, since you don't seem to mind making yourself look foolish; but rather, revel in it.

Thankfully, such a nightmare has never bedeviled my dreams and probably never shall.

May YOU go to sleep tonight with lovely dreams of Rudy as the 44 president for TWO terms. :-)

Could it be that you should take off your blinders, and accept reality in place of your delusions?

Acually, I think EV needs to dream of Fuhrer Hillary and the Dem Congress for 8 years -- and needs to dream about it every night until election night and see if he might want to get out and vote for the Republican nominee, to keep his nightmares from becoming a reality.

As ShawTaylor accurately summed it up in his post 63 on this thread:

"Hitlery is a very big threat to our personal liberties, freedoms and way of life. I still haven't forgotten the "IRS audits for being an enemy of Bill or Hilary" scandal. Hitlery in power will be like living under Stalin. She has to be stopped at all costs."

Shaw Taylor is correct; however, the ONLY thing that EV sees as a "nightmare", is some GOPer he doesn't like, being a winner! He couldn't care less about a Hillary presidency and both Houses in Dem hands.

As I noted upthread, off the top of my head the last VP candidate to take a state with him that might have otherwise gone the other way that I can think of is LBJ.

The latest data I could find at Rasmussen has him with 43% positive 48% negative and trailing in a horse race to Hillary and Algore.  But I really don't think a VP would be a drag on a ticket, and essentially wouldn't matter to independents.

If Rudy gets the nomination he'll need a strong recognizable conservative as his running mate to get the base in line, and such men seem to be in short supply.

What do you think we are doing when we are fighting the terrorists "over there", if not protecting America first?!

Ummm... Did I say we were not "fighting terrorists over there"? I think everyone is in agreement that we are fighting terrorist "over there."

One of my points was that, in my opinion, part of protecting us from terroism inside America is to enforce laws against ILLEGAL immigration.

This is not a complicated concept.

If people can't grasp common sense cause and effect, I can create a flow chart diagram.

Which is WHY I would prefer Haley Barbour as VEEP, but I don't know if Rudy would pick him. Haley would bring the SOUTH with him is a great governor, and was a fantastic head of the RNC.

Those in the bottom tier of the known primary candidates, won't help. McCain is a nonstarter, for all of the reason we all know about. Romney? Two guys from the Northeast and Romney in single digits? Nope.

Newt's OUT!

How about Simon?

Simon has zero charisma and nobody cares about him -- he was a loser in CA. And please don't say McClintock. ;)

not to rain on your parade but normally the VP is picked from the remaining candidates...those you mentioned would all be great cabinet picks!

Bush didn't pick Cheney "from the remaining candidates".
