ANTI-GAY REMARKS MADE BY POLISH PRESIDENT SPARK ANGER IN IRELAND

21 February 2007

During a debate at Dublin Castle yesterday, the Polish President Lech Kaczynski said that homosexual culture was a threat to the survival of the human race and should not be promoted as an alternative lifestyle.

The Gay and Lesbian Equality Network (GLEN) have called on the head of state to withdraw his remarks.

"I'm sure that many Polish people living in Ireland are disappointed and embarrassed by these remarks," said GLEN spokesman Kieran Rose.

"So I think the best thing for him to do is to withdraw them."

Kaczynski’s (pictured) comments were criticised by Labour Party TD Joan Burton in the Dail last night.

"I have to say I think it is a pity in the context of the contribution that gay people have made not just to the culture, literature and music of his own country, Poland, but in general the contribution to so many different aspects of human life, in the past, and as we live it now,” Burton said.

The Polish president and his wife arrived in Ireland on Sunday and were due to conclude their three-day visit tonight.

Mr Kaczynski is believed to have made the controversial remarks during a debate at the Forum on Europe in Dublin Castle where he spoke on the theme: Poland and Ireland in a United Europe.

When I'm looking at Germany there's one thing I love in the country - millions of friends of Dorothy living there. This is the phenomenon unknown in Poland, and if ever existed here, I would be veeeeery unhappy.

No gays Poland? *LOOOOOOOOL

A simple Google search again proves you a liar. But that was to be expected.

Germans! Reject moral "idiocy"!

Learn to read, dimwit. I said it was idiocy to believe that gays can turn straight people gay. 95-97% of the population will never feel tempted by the sight of a member of his or her gender, plenty enough to populate the earth. If you your president thinks otherwise, that's maybe because he's a closet bisexual.

Meanwhile, we, the Polish Catholics, marriages of a woman and a man, will breed more Polish Catholics and bring them up with respect to Ten Commandments and the Gospel of Christ.

Idol-worshipping catholicism has something to do with Christ? That's new to me. ;)

Due to it, I hope that one small beautiful day Germany will be as populated as Poland to pose the mortal threat to my country no more.

Sorry to bust your bubble, but:

Population growth rate Germany: 0,0%
Population growth rate Poland: -0.05%

Judging by your logic, Poland must be among the gayest countries in the European Union ;).

God be praised that I live in Poland where moral sanity still prevails and may Almighty God bless President Lech Kaczynski.

But not his gay brother Jaroslaw?

The Polish Prez was stating the obvious (for anyone with half a brain).

I think you're right. I met quite a few Poles in London (the women were beautiful, BTW) they were very conservative, religious (strong catholic), felt homosexuality was a mental illness, and thought of Ronald Reagan as a virtual Polish national hero.

Well, Ronnie was. Gee, I saw they're even building a huge monument to Ronnie not too far from Moscow. He was a great statesman and had a lot of appeal to any heart who loves liberty.

I thought the only bungholes were at the Guinness brewery.

"How many Irish queers does it take to savage a Guinness bunghole?"

Poles are fanning out across Europe, filling the slots left by Euros aborting their future generations. They're making money and having lots of kids.

Their decline in Poland is a result of moving into Europe.

Poles are fanning out across Europe...

They're obviously fleeing the socialist republic of Kaczynskistan for greener (i.e. more free, more capitalist) pastures in western Europe... ;)
