Current FR Poll - Indirect Vote For Hillary?
FR

Posted on 02/21/2007 9:07:52 AM PST by Sonora

Here's the tally so far - this vote sort of looks like the "attitude" that was being displayed here as we were heading for the loss of the House and Senate - third party and undecided, and stay home versus voting for a social R will result in a Democrat in the White House - trust me on this! Please don't let it happen. But, I'm beginning to believe that it will happen.

______

Looks like our true blue conservative did pretty well in our prior poll. Let's now see what happens if we nominate a social liberal who's okay with abortion, gay unions and gay rights is a gun grabber and is weak on illegal immigration. Who do you vote for in the general?

Composite Opinion The social liberal with the big "R" 32.4% 1,424 Third party 28.6% 1,256 Undecided/praying 26.5% 1,164 Stay home 9.9% 435 Hillary, et al 2.5% 110 99.9% 4,389

Member Opinion The social liberal with the big "R" 34.3% 780 Third party 28.3% 644 Undecided/praying 28.2% 641 Stay home 8.2% 187 Hillary, et al 1.1% 24 100.1% 2,276

Non-Member Opinion The social liberal with the big "R" 30.5% 644 Third party 29.0% 612 Undecided/praying 24.8% 523 Stay home 11.7% 248 Hillary, et al 4.1% 86 100.1% 2,113

How do you think we ended up with someone as brilliant AND conservative as Ronald Reagan in the White House? Certainly not by settling for more and more liberal Republicans, that's for sure. And that's what you're asking us to do.

I'm glad I voted against conventional wisdom and my RINO congressman in the last election. Now the RINO is out of a job and we got a conservative republican in his place.

Joe's not a conservative.

He's a liberal hawk.

Vote for a liberal - you'll get liberalism
Don't vote (D/L). Don't vote (R/L). Don't vote for a letter of the alphabet.
Vote for a philosophy.
Vote for a Conservative, and you'll get Conservatism.

The poll is a little confusing. I won't be voting for Rudy or Hillary but when I voted not sure/still praying, I meant I didn't know who I would vote for instead. I want to continue voting with the republican party but.... Yesterday I signed up to volunteer to help Duncan Hunter during the primaries.

"There is one: Joe Lieberman. Is he running?"

Joe is no Conservative, he's for a strong national defense, pro WOT and for school vouchers, that's the only conservative views he has.

As far as I know ;-D

Is there a way that poll threads could include a link to the poll?

Going into the preferences page; changing the preferences; voting in the poll; going back into the preferences; changing the preferences back to no side bar etc.

kind of discourages one from bothering with polls if one is the least bit busy that day.

Thanks much for all you do, John,

The democrats are going to go all out in an effort to defeat Walberg. Schwarz was their pet RINO and they even crossed party lines to vote for him in the primary.

Do that, yu and a few others and we could just very well end up with queen hillary in the white house.
Sigh, we got 8 years of bill and hill because people voted third party and now we may just see a repeat of history in 2008. Do you guys really want to see the clintons and their immoral lying faces back in the white house?

What a misguided thread.

85% of FReepers would vote for a conservative in the general election, but only about 1/3 of FReepers would vote for a liberal.

Yet somehow it's the fault of the conservative voters, rather than the RNC?

Listen up: Conservative voters have voted for moderates and liberals with a R after their names for years, and the results have included open borders, a ballooning federal budget, and massive new federal programs.

It's time for moderate Republican voters to vote for CONSERVATIVES, and lets see how things can really change in this nation. If moderates don't support OUR candidates, you'll probably see a lot of us bolting for 3rd parties, and the Republican party will be destroyed.

Moderates, the ball's in YOUR court now.

The liberal press is going all out to make sure Rudy is our Republican front runner. They'll expose his extreme liberalism AFTER the primaries. They know we'll lose the election that way.
A vote for Rudy is a Hillary win.

Michigan is circling the drain.
DeVos turned me off with his pro-affirmative action stance, he sold out for votes he was never going to get anyway....that earned him a no vote from me.

Many of us are sick of being pigeon holed into voting for a so-called "moderate" to avoid letting a leftist democrat win. Well, I say send us a decent candidate or live with the damned liberals put up by the Democratic party.

I'll only vote for a conservative. If that means that a liberal wins, so be it. That's the only way to keep the entire process from continuing to drift left.

Newt will decide if he's going to run in September.
People complain because he has too much "baggage". How odd. Rudy and Hillary both need hand carts to carry all theirs!
