I love that movie. That, and "The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance" get my vote for two of the top, oh...say, twenty-five movies of all time.
TCM has been showing various Oscar winners and nominees over the last few weeks...part of their 31 Days of Oscar series. I believe it runs into the first week of March. There have been a few dogs, but also, some real gems.
Even the really bad movies are better than all this Anna Nicole/Brittany Speers media coverage.
I always thought the OK Corral gunfight was handled more effectively in MY DARLING CLEMENTINE. Better buildup, and Walter Brennan made the perfect Ike Clanton.
Then of course, there's the Gunfight At The I'm OK You're OK Corral. Everybody shoots blanks.
"The Man Who shot Liberty Valance" was on last night. Lee Marvin sure was the scene stealer in that movie (Hell, I wanted to kick his ass!) There were great performances all around in that flick.
That was on A&E last night.
