... Tsunami information bulletin ...
This message is for information only.
An earthquake has occurred with these preliminary parameters
Origin time - 0805z 20 Feb. 2007 Coordinates - 1.0 South 126.9 East Location - Southern Molucca Sea Magnitude - 6.8
Evaluation
This earthquake is located outside the Pacific. No tsunami threat exists to Coastlines in the Pacific.
However - earthquakes of this size sometimes generate local tsunamis that can be destructive along coasts located within a few hundred kilometers of the earthquake epicenter. Authorities in the region of the epicenter should be aware of this possibility and take appropriate action.
This center monitors only a limited number of sea level gauges outside the Pacific so it may not be able to quickly detect or measure a tsunami if one was generated. Authorities can assume the danger has passed if no tsunami waves are observed near the epicenter within an hour of the earthquake.
This will be the only bulletin issued for this event unless additional information becomes available.
The Japan meteorological agency may also issue tsunami messages for this event to countries in the NorthWest Pacific and South China Sea region. In case of conflicting information... The more conservative information should be used for safety.
The West Coast/Alaska Tsunami Warning Center will issue bulletins for Alaska - British Columbia - Washington - Oregon - California.

Oh, OK. I thought THAT was the cause of the constant rain here in Portland, OR.

The Ring of Fire has been rather active as of late.
True, it has been.
Western offshore BC....

Prediction only.....somethings got to give. and it won't be in Alaska.
Update we had hail the size of gumballs at sunset here on the Orygon Coast....sposs to snow on the cascade range tonight.
I Love living in this rain forrest but only at tropical degrees this cold weather crap is for the birds.
Sucks.
Oops. GoreBull Warming. There, that's better.
There is no such thing as Global warming!
That subject is getting more tired than the carpetbagger/bugger herself/her hineyness Hillary Roadhound Clinton.
We avg. 68 degrees here on the Central Oregon coast.
This 28 to 34 depending on wind chill is for the birds.
It is clear and sunny today but still to darn cold for us locals.
HRC will not be happy with your insolence!
Old Claw Paw has had spite for us since she in hindsight went on Dave Lettermen show and laughed/joked about "those right winger" never come through my book signings.
Next day in Portland she stopped the book signing to do a photo op with my quadroplegic son.
Then he left and went out and did an interview with the Oregonian about well a right winger not only went through her book signing but she stopped the show to do a photo op with one.
Printed in ink for eternity.
Hill larious. All in fun ya know.
