General Tommy Franks is building a house in Oklahoma and if he runs for Senator it will be in 2010 from Oklahoma if Dr. Coburn decides not to run. Some think he might run for Oklahoma Governor in 2010.

Wow, you're reading a hell of a lot into very small numbers. The fact that this poll shows the Dems winning just about every scenario (except McCain vs. Edwards) should give you an idea of the skew in the sampling. Assuming that, it's not surprising that Hunter's numbers or anyone else with an "R" in front of their name would have higher than expected negatives.

Rather not say. Just have trouble with those pesky links.
I might be a little long in the tooth for this stuff.

Hello, anybody there? It's CONNECTICUT, that went for Kerry by about 15%.

Do a FR article search on "Duncan Hunter" and you'll get caught up real quick. Or you can visit his website:

Coburn running for Gov is a great idea. It will give him seom good exec experience for the national stage.

Thanks for the ping. In the column between 30 and 31 Giuliani has a higher favorable (61) than Hillary (53) or McCain (51) or native son Dodd (49).

Yes, but I'm looking only at the Republican side of the numbers, not the Democrat. The Democrats, of course, hate Hunter and Tancredo.
In fact, I think it's quite interesting to see that they have better name recognition among Democrats than Republicans! I have to assume the Democrat publications are already setting them up as bogeymen, and the very high negatives show that it's working and the attacks will continue to work.
Rudy has 46% positives among Democrats! That means he could win the general in a landslide, and give the War on Terrorism a fair mandate.

I think he has had it with the Senate when he would be going against their new Ethics Rules to deliver babies. That rule went into effect after he was elected. I would love to have him for Governor!
