I understand Rumsfeld was responsible for Bremer. Bremer reported to the SecDef and SecState. I originally thought Bremer was a Colin Powell guy, because he screwed things up so badly that he could have only come out of State. But, I later found out that Bremer was a SecDef guy.

Why is this important? Bremer is the one who changed the Rules of Engagement in order to put more responsiblity on the Iraqis! Bad guys were shooting at our guys and this was his way of making someone else responsible! Hello! How about shooting back!

Arizona on Election Day became the first state to vote down a proposed amendment to ban same-sex marriage, bucking a strong national trend that has seen 27 states change their constitutions to define marriage as a union of one man and woman.

Arizona voters rejected the amendment 51.4 percent to 48.6 percent on the same day that voters in seven other states -- Idaho, Colorado, South Dakota, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Wisconsin -- approved similar measures. The percent of voters opposed to the constitutional bans increased to an average of 39 percent this year compared to 33 percent who voted against similar measures in 13 states in 2004.

Bears repeating: RUMMY WAS A TRUE PATRIOT - WANTED THE VERY BEST FOR OUR COUNTRY - SERVED THIS COUNTRY WITH HONOR FOR MOST OF HIS LIFE - WORKED TIRELESSLY TO TRY TO GET THE MILITARY TO BE MORE EFFICIENT.

McCain doesn't qualify to ever say anything about Rummy and the successful beginning of the WOT. McInsane is about to blow! Give 'em a month or so on the trail and it will happen.

McCain is bipolar. Today he's in backstabbing mode. That's why I'll never vote for this turd. Do you ever hear Rudy "the liberal" Guliani spout this crap?

McCain isn't fit to shine Don Rumsfeld's shoes.

"Les Aspin was the very last gentleman in Congress and DOD.
Was that intended to be sarcastic?

In no way; in fact let me expand on the thought:

Les Aspin was the very last decent and honest gentleman in Congress and DOD

McLame, one of the worst excuses for a Senator in history. Not to mention a man. Go away!

McCain will always be remembered for violating (McLame/Feingold) his SWORN OATH to Protect and Defend the Constitution of the United States of America.

John McCain, John Murtha, John Glenn, John Kerry........traitors all. I'll piss on their graves.

Ask MSG Gordon and SFC Shughart how decent he was. Oh, that's right.....they won't be able to give you their opinion since they're dead. Your "buddy" Les played a role in that little fiasco.

Les Aspin took responsibility for a great deal of Clinton inspired shit and it killed him. He regretted accepting the job after the second meeting with the bastards in the White House and five minutes after listening to the JCS.

All these people scapegoating Rumsfeld. If we had done Iraq his way instead of Colin Powells, I think we would be much better off.
