I don't know about you, but I doubt the Christian conservatives throughout the red state farm belt and especially down in the South are going to cotton to a liberal New York Yankee coming down to try to clean up crime by taking their guns and bringing abortion and gay unions (gay marriage) into their families, schools and churches.
I'm not the mobster. :)
I'm not diputing that frontrunners sometimes get the nomination, I'm simply saying they often don't.
Go away. I think you're a rudy plant.
LOL
Jimmy who? Bill who?
True enough, and Joe Lieberman was the Dem frontrunner for 2004.
The man I would be proud to vote for.
They were governors, not a congressman.
How about we draft you to run?
Johnny Bravo for President!
"naughty," "nice," and "Clintonesque" are all your words and characterizations, ace.
If you believe yourself to be naughty and me nice I'm not going to argue. But you're the one who came up with that, not me.
Thank you Jim!
I merely pointed out the fact that, hypothetically, if Rudy wins the nomination, that simply means your pet candidate LOST. You had your chance to take out Rudy in the primaries and FAILED.
When it boils down to it, the no-brainer choice is to go with Rudy. Go ahead and form your little 3rd conservative party or vote for the LP or CP or stay home, but I'll be more than happy to vote for Rudy in the general.
Maybe Mickey Mouse. :-)
No kidding? You're pro-life, M. Thatcher? And a Rudy rooter?
Then you must have been in seventh heaven when NARAL honored your boy Rudy as guest speaker, when Rudy made The Opening Remarks to the N.A.R.A.L. "Champions of Choice" Luncheon a few years back.
And, as a pro-lifer, you must have been in ecstasy when NARAL donated exclusively to Democrat candidates with one exception----your boy Rudy Giuliani.
As a pro-lifer, your joy must have been complete when Giuliani accepted $1,000 from NARAL PAC in 1999. When NARAL gave $250 to Hillary Rodham Clinton. WHen NARAL gave $1000---4 times as much-----to pro-abortion Giuliani (From the FEC database: 04/24/1999 Donations NEW YORK STATE NARAL INC WOMEN'S HEALTH PAC)
As a pro-lifer, you must be overjoyed that NARAL trusted your boy Rudy's pro-abortion credentials, and Rudy's willingness to advance NARAL's radical abortion-on-demand agenda, even more than NARAL trusted Hillary.
As a pro-lifer, I am sure your are so very happy that your boy Rudy is not just "pro-abortion," Rudy is joined at the hip to the most radical pro-abortion elements---NARAL, Planned Parenthood and the rest of the abortion-on-demand-with-the-govt-picking-up-the-tab crowd.
As a pro-lifer, you must have clapped your hands with glee when Giuliani used his Mayoral term to advance abortion EVEN THOUGH, AS MAYOR, HE HAD NO LEGISLATIVE OR OFFICIAL MANDATE TO DO DO SO.
Could you please tell us how happy you were, M. Thatcher---as a pro-lifer---when in a CNN interview, Giuliani indicated he does not support even a modest ban on the gruesome partial-birth abortion procedure saying, "No, I have not supported that, and I don't see my position on that changing." Giuliani also indicated he would have upheld President Clinton's veto of the partial-birth abortion ban.
As a pro-lifer, it must have been a kick for you when Mayor Rudy told Phil Donahue he'd give his daughter the money for an abortion (to get rid of his own grandchild).
As a pro-lifer, how proud you must be of your boy Rudy that NARAL and company are planning to move forward to expand abortion to unknown dimensions. Partial birth abortion? If Rudy is elected, you ain't seen nuttin' yet.
===================================================
In summation----let me explain the antipathy to Rudy you are seeing here on FR. Most of us are merely treating Rudy's 2008 candidacy the way he's treated unborn children-------as a disposable nuisance.
So you claim.
